Has anyone suffered from Plantar Facilitis and found some really comfy shoes. I'm on my feet all day in Healthcare but I also go outside so Crocs not suitable and they have to be all black.
It's sheer agony! :-(

Mine was mainly caused as I have high arches so found some insoles that support them. They work great in flat shoes. The ones I have are similar to the below

I'm absolutely evangelical about Fitflops, I have their clogs, trainers, sandals, boots and flip flops. I started wearing them when I had such a bad case of PF that my foot couldn't even touch the floor, it was agony.

I used to suffer terribly with plantar fasciitis and every step was agony. After a bit if research I bought a soft splint to wear at night and I felt the difference almost immediately and within a fortnight the pain had disappeared. I found it came back after a month of two but the soft splint sorted it out quickly I wholeheartedly recommend a splint it was transformational for me.

fitflops for summer if you wanted them

NOT sketchers, asiacs/hoka/new balance are good

exercise your feet, do the alphabet before you get out of bed/up after a long period of rest.

roll your foot over a cold ball/

Loads if brand already mentioned for proper shoes.

Not what you asked for - but I used these for indoor slippers instead of walking around barefoot, and they are amazing!

Fitflops made a massive difference to me. Also the Dr Scholl inserts for my beloved boots. I now have Fitflops sandals, boots, trainers, loafers…

Nike air or Nike pegasus. Only things I can wear

Bringnbuy77 · 04/08/2023 09:21

Mine always revs up in the summer because I tend to walk around bare foot so wear fit flops around the house. I never wear sketchers, they are the worst. Rally trainers from fit flop are good or weirdly Stan smiths!

What is the alphabet thing?

I wear fitflop flip flops around the house as I found the amount of time I was spending barefoot was an issue (WFH).
Don't wear flip flops or Birkenstocks for any distance/time.
Use insoles for plantar fasciitis in other shoes/boots.
Trainers with good support like ASICS or new balance are good but need replacing when the cushioning gets worn.

Yusay · 04/08/2023 16:40

I was recommended Asics for a relative who has this issue, relative says they’re fantastic - worth a look. Get on sale.

Hello, I have had PF on and off for about 5 years. These shoes aren’t great looking but they feel like I am walking on clouds and take the pain away. https://www.oofos.co.uk/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyvP20MvDgAMVRcPVCh11YQ4xEAAYASAAEgIfzfD_BwE
my PF comes and goes and I now have orthotics in my trainers (about £40 and I think similar to ones above) - they seem to be helping. According to my podiatrist my ankle was rotating too much and this provides more support. He also told me I had to do the exercises daily (I don’t but do try about three times a week). Good luck as it can be a v painful condition.
