I absolutely HEART blinc mascara. Have used it and only it since about 2000.

Yes, it's expensive but it's absolutely the best mascara I've ever tried.

loreal voluminous has been my fave for many years, thickens beautifully - but I can't get it in brown anymore, black is a bit harsh for my pale canadian skin

Oh god, I'm worried now in case everyone hates Blinc. I would love to know what people think, it took me a while to get used to it as I said but I do like it now. Would like to know how other people get on with it.

sample arrived. it's weird. I like the texture, but the brush was useless and I find that it is the brush that makes the big difference with mascara! jury's out!

The Blinc colour and brush were fine, but my eyes felt a bit gritty towards the end of the day, as if bits were going into my eyes.

Still, id rather pay £1.50 for a sample than buy a whole tube and find I didnt like it!

I wish more companies did small samples like that.

Best mascara without a doubt is this.

I think mascara is weirdly personal. There are some that some people swear by that give me panda eyes, and mostly I find the expensive ones are the worst for that.

My choices are,

For look: Maybelline lash stylist, it's a comb one, and it makes my lashes really long, and they're very short.

For ease: this new Clinique one, I don't know what it's called, I just got it, and the gimmick is it stays on all day, is tear proof, sweat proof etc (and it is!) and then as soon as it meets warm water it comes off cleanly with nothing on your face. I hate using cleansers and that.

Maybelline Great Lash - the pink and green bottle one. Its won lots of awards and I think its great. Cheap as well

I bought the L'Oreal Lash Architect (Midnight Black, couldn;t find Carbon Gloss) and it's fab!!

Really, it is sooooo good. My lashes are looong (brushing up against my spectacles!) AND it's actually curled them a bit (my eye lashes are resolutely poker straight).

I hereby amend my vote, and proclaim Lash Architect the best mascara.
