Which colour to get the Uniqlo bag in?

I think it seems like a wise investment. A little larger than my Lululemon one which is only big enough for the bare essentials (but v good at the airport for just passport & phone). I can't decide between 3 colours, olive, beige and natural. Is it boring to get natural or beige? I definitely don't want black for the summer (what summer?!). What colour does everyone have/use the most?

I've got the jungley green one, a dark blue, and DP has just bought me a berry red one.

I would buy black, but that's because most of my clothes are black or navy, and it would just be easier to throw on without thinking.
Olive is totally a neutral for summer! You're going to love the bag, it really does hold SO much.

Pluffe · 21/08/2023 15:11

My favourite thing about them is how light they are. So much more comfortable than a leather handbag.

spiderlight · 21/08/2023 15:44

Ordered a black corduroy one today. I really want the purple non-cord one as well though!

EversoDetermined · 21/08/2023 17:04

Yes, the nylon ones are light as a feather, I have walked many miles in very hot weather on holiday the last week or so and its so much better than a heavy canvas or leather bag.

Talisin · 25/08/2023 18:24

The ‘leather’ one looks quite a bit bigger than the original ones.

I picked up my new brown cord one today and it’s lovely - also now lusting after the khaki one as I really love the colour after seeing it in r/l.

My DD has the black one
I have a Roha Scooter Sing bag - but I'm not in the least bit trendy Blush

spiderlight · 25/08/2023 23:48

My black cord one came yesterday as well and I really love it!

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 26/08/2023 11:07

Currently proudly sporting my new rust brown cord one. Very pleased with it.

Madcats · 26/08/2023 13:12

I'm up in London this week - new bag time (actually it might be multiple bags).

I'm not convinced by 'leather', unless it is really soft and squishy.
Is "dark orange" a new on trend colour for Autumn - It seems an odd colour for a bag (unless it is more of a chestnut colour)?

Rocknrollstar · 26/08/2023 13:19

Primark have a couple of colours at half the price. I just bought another cream one to put away for next year

KirstenBlest · 26/08/2023 13:44

The ones in my local Primark looked rubbish. They are £7

megletthesecond · 26/08/2023 16:02

I'll get the cord version in dark orange if I have to. Still hoping they'll bring out a yellow cord one, I want something bright for winter.

BusterGonad · 26/08/2023 16:14

I like the look of the cord one in orange and the faux leather in yellow. Dark orange is lovely for autumn. Like falling leaves and pumpkins.

Mumwithbaggage · 26/08/2023 23:15

Oh my goodness. Game changer. I'm quite a bag lady - various favourites collected over the years from Mulberry, Prada, Vivienne Westwood, blaa blaa but I've been using my Uniqlo bag - love love love it!! Sadly all kids and kids' partners have one but went to a concert last night and just felt liberated.

Rockbird · 25/08/2023 18:15

It's a shame they haven't specified the dimensions on there as I wanted to know whether it would fit my work laptop.

KirstenBlest · 27/08/2023 11:30

@premiom , it doesn't look big enough or suitable for a laptop.

Rockbird · 27/08/2023 12:59

It looks a bit bigger than the standard one but I doubt it's laptop big. I wish it was, I have to start getting the train to work and I need a bigger bag. A bigger Uniqlo would be ideal.

evtheria · 27/08/2023 14:06

Has anyone tried washing theirs? I think I read on mine that they shouldn't be, due to a coating on the (regular) fabric...

EversoDetermined · 27/08/2023 15:40

I thought I'd ordered the brown cord one last week but must have failed to press confirm. I'm in doubt now about the colours for winter, while I like browns, olive etc I mainly wear properly bright colours, green, magenta, wine red, teal in winter and none of the cord colours will really go.

I saw someone with that limited edition designer one today, looked cool.

EversoDetermined · 27/08/2023 15:44

I must say I have been so pleased at how much stuff the nylon one holds. I have been on holiday with it and had

4 passports
coin purse
card wallet
purse with plasters, paracetamol etc
mini pack tissues
paper fan
folded nylon shopping bag
earpods
phone

all fit in comfortably

Monster80 · 27/08/2023 17:32

I’ve got the beige and am considering the olive.

GenialHarryGr0ut · 27/08/2023 17:45

It is a Tardis of a bag. I took the olive one on holiday and it easily held

Keys
Phone
Passports
Purse
Tissues
Headache tablets/Plasters
Tube of witch hazel
Lipsalve
Foldable shopping bag
Pen
Earbuds
Phone Charger Pack

Am very tempted to get the cord one - wish they were making it in the same size as the pleather one.

mistermagpie · 27/08/2023 18:48

This is just the thing I've been looking for! Im not a handbag person but have a couple of nice camera bag style leather ones for work, but Im generally kicking about in jeans and a sweatshirt with my three little kids and a leather bag doesn't look right for that. Now just need to pick a colour...

mizu · 27/08/2023 19:47

I was in London last weekend and bought the reddish / burgundy colour one and LOVE it. Couldn't decide whether to get the green or the black or the beige one but really glad I got the red now. Super bag, lightweight even with lots in it!
