Love the back shape and sleeve detail.
Am not well-endowed, so could even do without bra to avoid back strap showing.

Just not sure I £177 worth love it!
Although I'd get a lot of occasion wear from it.

Recovering foot injury, so no heels/wedges possible.
Will these Huaraches do? They're the only comfortable flats I own:

Looks a bit too casual to me but it depends what you mean by garden party. If it's just a BBQ etc in someone's garden, it's fine. If it's more of an 'event' then the dress is at the very casual end of the spectrum.

useitorlose · 23/07/2023 13:33

If it's a Buckingham Palace garden party, then no. You need to think daytime cocktail dress/wedding guest at a very formal do.

Redrita · 23/07/2023 13:56

It’s beautiful, I love it if you can afford it then go for it but is it worth the money you have to see you need to decide

28BarbaryLane · 23/07/2023 13:57

Ah, no, sorry should have said was not upmarket type of garden party!

Friend's 30th birthday lunch. Families. But everyone making an effort.

That’s lovely 😃

Beeswood · 23/07/2023 14:00

I think the dress is really pretty and the shoes are fine to go with it.

Rainbowshit · 23/07/2023 14:04

Love the shoes.

Dress is pretty but not sure £177 worth... I'd have to absolutely love it to spend that much.

TrianglePlayer · 23/07/2023 14:06

I love it and now I want it!

CC4712 · 23/07/2023 14:06

It looks cool (temperature wise) and floaty- but shapeless. If you are petite/thin/small chested, I fear it would swamp you. Would a belt help? Shoes are fine. TBH- I think you could find a nicer dress, or even 2 for £177.

laalaaleelee · 23/07/2023 14:09

Nice but it is steep

5ft 6, size 12.

B cup, so not without all shape, just major scaffolding not an absolute essential if a bit of clever tape would do the job instead.

I love it! The price would be worth it if you think you'd get a lot of wear out of it. Shoes would be fine.

Devilsmommy · 23/07/2023 14:20

I think the dress and shoes would look nice together. If u can afford it then go for it

mybluemerc · 23/07/2023 14:28

Like this dress but don't like the price tag. Have a look at Brans Alley. They are high end brands at discounted prices?

UsingChangeofName · 23/07/2023 15:05

Like @HundredMilesAnHour I was going to ask what you meant by Garden party, and agree - too casual for Buckingham Palace Smile , but is lovely for a family and friends lunch in someone's garden.

Sandals are fine too.

UsingChangeofName · 23/07/2023 15:07

Oh, the price tag seems extortionate to me, though, I agree with others.

The dress is nice, but I'm not convinced it is that ££££ nice.

28BarbaryLane · 23/07/2023 15:28

Have just spotted this, which might be an alternative.

What do you all think?

Have never heard of Cirkel before. Seems a good seconds site.

Prefer this one, both on colour and shape.

Your sandals would be fine with either.

Smittenkitchen · 23/07/2023 15:38

For me the second one you've posted isn't as special, OP. It's quite sort of buttoned up whereas the first one has a much more relaxed feel. Price is obviously much more appealing though!

Yes I agree. There is something really quite special about the first one

Persiana · 23/07/2023 16:07

I think it's pretty but I feel like I've seen a lot like it for much less- I have some Zara dresses in lovely prints and cotton fabric for a lot less.
Wow dresses I've noticed recently on me+em, especially the shorter/knee length ones, in the sale for around £100, would be great for a birthday garden do. And just to me seem like a well worth investment

More I look at the dress the more I like it. Get it. It's something you'll be able to wear again.

Easyontheeyes · 23/07/2023 16:12

Gorgeous and perfect for a garden party. I like the sleeves and low back.

Kastri · 23/07/2023 16:18

I prefer your first choice, its really lovely.
