Love the back shape and sleeve detail.
Am not well-endowed, so could even do without bra to avoid back strap showing.

Just not sure I £177 worth love it!
Although I'd get a lot of occasion wear from it.

Recovering foot injury, so no heels/wedges possible.
Will these Huaraches do? They're the only comfortable flats I own:

I like the dress and the shoes but i don't think it's worth the money 🤷‍♀️
Theres definitely dresses in this style much cheaper

RuthW · 23/07/2023 16:35

Lovely dress but not worth the money. Looks similar to supermaket dresses.

ReviewingTheSituation · 23/07/2023 16:39

I really like the second one - I think the model isn't doing it justice at all. She's just standing there, looking a bit moody, just wearing it.

The first dress is nice, but unless you're going to wear it loads, is it worth £180 to you?

RampantIvy · 23/07/2023 16:52

I like the first dress and the shoes. What is the weather forecast?

For a garden party round here I would be wearing this with wellies Grin

SallyWD · 23/07/2023 16:53

I love that dress!

ginasevern · 23/07/2023 16:59

I love the first dress best. Lovely detail front and back. I think it looks expensive and the shoes go well too. If you can afford it, go for it. The only problem is the weather!

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 23/07/2023 17:03

The first dress is so pretty. I love it.

notanicepersonapparently · 23/07/2023 17:05

I love your first dress and it looks like something you could keep for years and wear again and again. I love the back detail.

feelingfree17 · 23/07/2023 17:07

That is absolutely gorgeous
Treat yourself
i want it too

Filament · 23/07/2023 17:14

First dress is lovely.

Viviennemary · 23/07/2023 18:11

Its a very nice dress. It is a bit on the expensive side but yes go for it.

Mummyoflittledragon · 23/07/2023 18:20

Omg cheese cloth! Blast from the past. Yes, it’s pretty but expensive for what it is.

Ophy83 · 23/07/2023 18:59

The first dress is lovely as are the shoes

Jzp · 23/07/2023 19:27

It’s lovely and the sandals will look much nicer than the heels they’ve put the model in.
I'm interested to know what part of the country you live in as I can almost guarantee it’s not in Bristol or Somerset. People here struggle to get out of their jeans for any occasion and if they do it’s usually into something vintage/charity shop. I’ve given up dressing smartly, the West Country is a great place to live but everyday is dress down day wherever you go.

Ha, may have to dig out my clear festival rain poncho!
If I'm bothering to dress up, I'm damn well making the most of any dress being on show.

Forecast for next Saturday here is (supposedly) mostly dry, cloudy with sunny intervals.
Not a scorcher, though. And could well change by then.

Friend's cynical DH is constructing a DIY tented extension to their sunroom, in case everyone's summery outfit efforts leave us shivering/rained upon and we have to relocate indoors.

Late to the party..but I think the first dress is gorgeous but not worth the price tag. The brown sandals you asked about are just yuk. Something sparkly on your feet would be so much nicer, Buckingham Palace or casual get together, wether flat or heel, life is too short not to wear a bit of bling....
The second dress is for work....with or without bling...
Happy to help.

28BarbaryLane · 23/07/2023 20:03

@user2155340308842,
Thanks for tip-off. Gave them a quick Outnet browse, but no dress grabbed me. I did however spot a couple of great bargains on tops, for next paycheck.

First dress is really lovely and classy. I think it does have something special about it. Order it and see how you feel trying it on.

Oh no, those sandals are all that my injured foot can cope with.

I do own these metallic leather strappy flats I could try wearing, but they're rose gold. Is that better, do you think?

@LtJudyHopps, love everything about that dress except the puffiness of sleeve!

OP posts:
HeadNorth · 23/07/2023 20:22

I like the first dress, particularly because it doesn’t have the dreaded ubiquitous puffed sleeve. They are hard to avoid at the moment.

I think it's pretty but I feel like I've seen a lot like it for much less- I have some Zara dresses in lovely prints and cotton fabric for a lot less.
Wow dresses I've noticed recently on me+em, especially the shorter/knee length ones, in the sale for around £100, would be great for a birthday garden do. And just to me seem like a well worth investment

I'm not familiar with Me & Em. Thanks for recommendation.
I liked the Sicilian Olive dress there, but was pricier than my first choice. Drat.

Will search around to see if I can find it or similar reduced further.

28BarbaryLane · 23/07/2023 20:31

Prefer midi or maxi. Knees aren't my best feature.
