Scent that people have stopped you and asked what it is

Just that really. I'd love to know what scent you have worn that others have commented positively on, or where strangers have asked what perfume it is.
Please let me know which brand/names that have elicited this reaction and whether from a man or a woman?

The only time it's ever happened to me, I was wearing Coco Mademoiselle

We have identical perfume taste! Perfume Parlour do a really good Gucci Flora dupe which I use now because it’s impossible to get the original. I get my Gypsy Water dupe from there too.

Penhaligans Halfeti (both the genuine product, but even more so - Essence Vault Dupe!) also Chanel Gabrielle.

Was told the Halfeti smelt 'expensive' and 'filthy classy' by a dear friend- I'll take that 😉

Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue - I am asked what it is every time I wear it.

My DH is always stopped and asked whenever he wears Fierce by Abercrombie and Fitch

Dior - Hypnotic Poison

I get stopped by men and asked what I’m wearing when I’ve sprayed Chanel Allure. They claim they want to buy it for their partner because it’s “nice” - but some have admitted that the smell makes them horny?! I’ve been wearing it for 20 years and still get compliments.

Another for Coco Mademoiselle! Also Mon Guerlain and Ouai Melrose Place.

I think it must be your overall attractive vibe that perfume enhanced. Even washing powder will smell good on someone attractive ;)

Don't think I've had complete strangers running after me asking what I am wearing, but certainly get compliments from colleagues/family.

Lately it's been Byredo Rose of No Man's land for me. Even my most-nose-insensitive DH said it smells nice on me.

PinkPlanter - Kingdom Alexander McQueen is my favourite ever - going to look it up as thought it was discontinued - love the packaging too

Avon Far Away - every single time, mostly by middle aged ladies like me, I think it triggers a 90s youth memory response and they love it!

Also been complimented on Katy Perry Purrr by a binman once when he walked past me on his round. He said, 'You smell nice love, well alot better than these bins!' Not sure if that even counts really as a compliment🤣

A non brand perfume called 'musk' on ebay-i had the works flirt follow me round all day as he loved it

Al rehab (again cheap on ebay) can't remember the name but gold and green roll on bottle-had most of work comment on it

A lass I work with always smells lush-she says its zara but I'm not sure which one

Dior Addict (the blue one). Only ever worn in the evening as it's a deep rich perfume but I've been asked a few times what I'm wearing. I've tried the eau de toilette for day wear but it's nowhere near as nice.

Guerlain Idylle. It's not a strong fragrance, soapy and a bit spicy. Discontinued now, but I'm clinging on to my last bottle and it still gets compliments.

I didn't even particularly like it at first but I was bought it as a gift and I am always asked what I'm wearing.

Prada amber. Every time I wear that someone asks me what it is

I was going to say this one also - and I love the bottle which is a bonus!!

Incredibly, it was Rare Gold by Avon.
Occasionally I still buy it.

Art de Parfum Gin and Tonic. Very long lasting.

Just to turn this around a little bit, I always compliment people who smell good and 2 times out of 5: it wasYSL Black Opium ( which I don't like on myself) ant the other 3 times it was Clinique Aromatics Elixir. I've been blogging about perfume for 10 years and not easily swayed but these two smelled amazing on other people.
