I have been using Chanel Cristalle since 1972 and it is my favourite perfume. Why have they discontinued the Eau de Toilette? Or have they? I am almost out of my last bottle and need another! What's wrong with Chanel? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I say!

It’s not discontinued. They were rebranding both the Eau De Parfum and Eau de Toilette. The EDT was ready before the EDP and came back onto the shelves earlier. The EDP has just gone back into stores and the duty free. You should be able to get the EDT but I think it’s in different packaging.

I got excited but it’s only the EDP and the Eau Verte (which smells nothing like the EDT). Where is the EDT??

From the Chanel website. It's being repackaged. It reads as a bit ambiguous (especially with the last part- which reads almost as if the EdT is being discontinued) but most perfume bloggers and websites are saying they read that as only the packaging that's changing Until the new packaging comes out, stocks of the old packaging are being run down.

I last got some at Stansted just before Christmas. EdT.

For perfume geeks. 😂 This guy confirms that it's just being repackaged (sustainability to get rid of the plastic bits and use recycled glass + a price increase) The only one of the 3 that's been reformulated is Eau Verte. The new packaging EdT isn't on the shelves yet, but will be available in Europe this year.

Emailed Chanel this AM and asked why Cristalle eau de parfum was still not available for purchase? It was answered back, that it has been discontinued, officially. Their answer literally broke my heart. Like many who have posted their disappointment previously, I too am sad. I do believe Coco would be upset along with all the rest of us. Bring it back-please!

Cristalle is available in the UK on the Chanel website. I've just checked.
It's only recently been relaunched in the new bottles according to fragantica. So I can't imagine it's being discontinued.

It's often temporarily unavailable at times & then returns smelling slightly different. I have 3 bottles of different ages & it used to be much deeper & greener. The latest iteration is a lighter green & more floral.

This made my heart race too.

I have worn Cristalle and No.19 for decades, I struggled to get the last bottle of Cristalle as it was out of stock everywhere and eventually was able to order it direct from Chanel on line but it took weeks to come and I believe it came from France.

I am going now to do some searching. The Chanel store in St Pancras station has dozens of bottles of limited edition Chanel I’ve never heard of, has it just become one of those that’s only available in small quantities and it’s all sold out now because it’s Christmas?

The edt is not available.

The new edp launched in 2023 is based on the old edt from the 1970's. The oak moss is gone. Excerpt from fragrantica attached .
