Diprobase 8/10 - loses points for greasiness and because it doesn't smell nice or anything.

Finbar · 13/02/2008 16:47

Body Shop Hemp cream is stinky!!!

Try Molton Brownn Naranjii Soothing cream - LUUVERLY

bran · 13/02/2008 16:56

I used to use Vaseline intensive hand and nail and it was very good, but since I've been having to use Aveeno on ds for his eczema I've had lovely soft hands without any other cream. I use this one on ds, but they also do an Aveeno Intense Relief hand cream.

bran · 13/02/2008 16:57

Sorry, I didn't describe properly. Unscented, but very slightly oat-y. Soaks in reasonably quickly and leaves skin feeling velvety rather than greasy. Very soothing if you have sore skin.

StrangeTown · 13/02/2008 22:35

Agree with MrsMattie that Aveda's Hand Relief is the business. Surely the name only adds to its all round marvellousness. It makes everyone at work giggle when I use it.

Clary · 14/02/2008 13:47

agree re Body Shop Hemp hand cream.
Smells a bit waccy baccy but it is the beezneez. Sorted out my chapped winter hands last year no worries.

VanillaPumpkin · 14/02/2008 13:51

The neutrogena unscented one healed my cracked and broken hands post dd1 in a matter of days. Miracle stuff.
I have to say the Atrixo one is nice and worked miracles on my front door key that was very stiff and difficult to get in and out of the lock until I picked said key up with hands covered in cream.

Wags · 14/02/2008 14:47

Another vote for Clarins. Have used a zillion different ones over the years, nothing beats this one. Not greasy, nice smell, nails are better when I use it regularly, its FAB. Here

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 14/02/2008 16:06

this one by l'occitane it is absolutely fab rubs in well smells nice

pollywobbledoodle · 14/02/2008 17:53

atrixo regenerating hand cream.....smells nice, sinks in quite quickly....handy handbag size about £3 and by the sink size about £5

l'occitane one smells lovely but no more effective than atrixo imo

Smithy · 14/02/2008 21:10

I got a small tube of this for Christmas as part of a gift set. Elemis Intensive Hand Repair. Just seen how much a bigger tube is - £35 on QVC . I have to say though that I've never had such a wonderful hand cream. Amazing result for my chapped, parched, really dry hands. Thoroughly recommended.

Another vote for L'Occitane Shea Butter hand cream.

aefondkiss · 14/02/2008 23:19

it probably isn't expensive enough

I got this for my mum, who suffers from very dry, cracked, over worked hands, it is velvety, but sinks in quickly, and it feels like it is doing a good job, I like the smell of it as well, not too perfumed.

MrsJohnCusack · 15/02/2008 05:21

I like the burt's bees one too (JackieNo very kindly sent me some after DS was born ) and another vote for L'Occitane Shea butter too

DarrensMarjie · 15/02/2008 06:50

Am a huge fan of Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Therapy - so good in fact that the husband is pinching it!

DarrensMarjie · 15/02/2008 06:57

La Source Hand Therapy - Crabtree and Evelyn - pleasantly sea scented (neutral enough to be used by man or woman) contains shea butter and gets rid of cracking and really rough skin from first application. £9.50/100ml in an artist paint tube style container which will survive your hand bag.

daisybaby · 16/02/2008 08:18

Palmers Cocoa Butter lotion - fantastic and added bonus that smells of chocolate!

DualCycloneCod · 20/02/2008 19:57
