An eye make up remover that actually removes the make up?

I can't seem to find a decent eye make up remover - I don't wear much eye make up, but whatever I use to remove it struggles with the mascara. It's frustrating! Any recommendations, please?

Body Shop chamomile one works for me

The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser then a wet cloth. Glitter, those super permanent eyeliners, waterproof mascara... wipes off as easily as eyeshadow.

Just double cleanse. Literally any oil cleanser, followed by your usual water based cleanser.

I really like bio oil- gets everything off and leaves my skin beautifully hydrated

After being a committed Clinique Take the Day Off user for years I discovered Superdrug B eye make up remover recently (emergency purchase when I forgot mine when we went away).

www.superdrug.com/make-up/makeup-remover/face-make-up-remover/b-eye-makeup-remover-100ml/p/805542

It's great. Takes my Clinique High Impact mascara off with ease which, strangely, the Take the Day Off has trouble with.

It's £8.99 and is on Buy 1 get 1 free at the moment. I got 2 - one to put in my holiday bag. I'm using up my TTDO but will definitely be switching to this.

This Nivea one www.boots.com/nivea-double-effect-waterproof-eye-make-up-remover-125ml-10306397

Nothing else is as good and I’ve tried them all !

Lancome

CarolDunne · 02/02/2023 16:50

Olive oil or baby oil

AlexandraJJ · 02/02/2023 16:52

For a eye specific remover ESPA works everytime, for an overall cleanser Elemis cleansing balm

TheIoWfairy · 02/02/2023 16:56

Nivea double effect. Removes stubborn waterproof mascara easily and it's not as expensive as many others

PrincessHoneysuckle · 02/02/2023 16:57

Baby lotion. Its gets anything off and is cheap.Ive used it for over 20 years

Sparkletastic · 02/02/2023 16:58

Another vote for the Nivea. I've tried so many and it's the absolute best.

I agree micellar water is like a magic potion! The Garnier one is good. I wish I could use the £1 ones, they work great but sting my eyes!

Passmeaplacard · 02/02/2023 17:45

Lancôme pricey but you can get from lookfantastic etc with a code and it lasts ages

Totallyaddictedtoshoes · 02/02/2023 17:48

Yep, thirding nivea, it's a 2 part liquid and you shake the bottle to mix. I wear a lot of eye makeup including benefit they're real mascara, which can be difficult to shift and I have no problems with Nivea!

SomeoneInTheLaaaaaounge · 02/02/2023 17:51

Lancôme all day long. Nothing comes close to it

TheDogsMother · 02/02/2023 17:55

Micellar Water does the trick. I'm currently on Sainsburys own for £2 per bottle.

roycroppersshopper · 02/02/2023 17:59

Getting mascara off is a complete ball ache. Change your mascara to a tubing mascara. Life changing. I did this in October na d ha e never looked back. Tubing mascara comes off (kinda in lumps) with warm water.

I use Blinc tubing mascara. Bloody love it.

I use a cleansing balm and a flannel. It's great and doesn't sting at all.

BetiYeti · 02/02/2023 18:22

Superdrug vitamin E eye cleanser, it’s brilliant and so is the hot cloth cleanser from the same range.
