What has been the best new (to you) product in your beauty advent calendar?

Mine is Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil. I love it. It’s pretty expensive but the 30 ml bottle I got in my Latest in Beauty calendar will last for ages.

Pai rosehip cleansing oil. Didn’t rate the brand before but this is going to be a repeat purchase for sure.

CardinaldeRichelieu · 31/01/2023 10:42

Ooh that looks nice. I might have to try it 🙂

That's one of my favourites as well!

I think my all time calendar favourite has probably been the Sunday Riley CEO oil; that's the only thing I repurchased immediately when it ran out.

Orangello · 31/01/2023 11:40

this one really made a massive difference to my hair, it's never been so silky and healthy looking

The Lumene products are amazing.

Mrcpy · 31/01/2023 18:36

I had the JL advent calendar. My favourites from that are the Lumene Nordic c oil (will definitely repurchase) and the Dermatologica spf cream (will repurchase if suddenly rich). The other items were lovely but I could live without.

Montague22 · 31/01/2023 19:06

alsolumenenordicc

and really like the Shay and Blue Black Tulip perfume

I am really enjoying the Sunday Riley CEO cream, particularly the gorgeous smell. Does the oil smell nice?

Nuxe oil .It has made my thick, frizzy hair wavy ,manageable and shiny.I've already bought a larger bottle.

CardinaldeRichelieu · 31/01/2023 21:10

Good to see the Lumene products are popular. I haven’t started using my Nordic C oil yet so hoping I like that.

The Venn vitamin b cream, absolutely love it and have a stash of about 5 tubes now.

Stoic123 · 31/01/2023 21:23

Another vote here for the Lumene Nordic C Oil in JL.

Also impressed by Olaplex No 3 and ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment.

saveforthat · 31/01/2023 21:27

It wasn't in a calendar but one of those beauty boxes where you allegedly get £300 worth of goods for about £40. Christophe Robin scalp scrub. I thought it was a body scrub at first and was disappointed because I have loads of those. It's brilliant I use it instead of shampoo once a week and my usually slightly greasy hair is now clean and shiny. Also smells gorgeous.

WorryMcGee · 31/01/2023 21:31

Another vote for the Venn vitamin B cream. It’s so lovely.

LateMumma · 31/01/2023 21:32

Cloud paint and Elemis glow moisturising primer. Absolutely lovely for my (nearly 50 yr
Old) skin

TokyoSushi · 31/01/2023 21:33

Emma Hardie cleansing balm from M&S Christmas 2021, absolutely divine!

LawksaMercyMissus · 31/01/2023 21:39

Dreamcoat Wow, spray on before drying, makes my hair really shiny

FettleOfKish · 31/01/2023 21:44

A few years back now but a little Stila Liquid Lipstick in an M&S beauty calendar, in the perfect shade. I must have bought at least a dozen or more full size since then.

mynameiscalypso · 31/01/2023 21:46

The Aveda Botanical Repair you get in pretty much every M&S calendar. I have so many of them now but I love it and it makes such a difference to my hair.

Was it a creamy beige ? I got that too & have since replaced loads of times, goes on so nicely

FettleOfKish · 31/01/2023 22:40

@beachcitygirl Portofino for me. Best lip colour I've ever found, it does smudge a bit on the edge of a glass but never seems to come off my lips completely like some do.

Zoetrope1 · 31/01/2023 22:41

My favourites discoveries were:

  • Surratt lipslique from Liberty
  • Drunk Elephant Miracle Butter - Space NK I think
  • Susanne Kauffman eye rescue serum (absolutely obsessed!) - I think this was LiB
  • Necessaire hand cream - Space NK
  • All the candles

beachcitygirl · 31/01/2023 22:43

@FettleOfKish yup, that's the one x

itswednesdayy · 31/01/2023 22:49

Oh wow, I read the title and the product that came to mind was the exact same oil. I’m really liking it so far but I don’t think I’ll repurchase. I normally use a full KIEHL’S skincare routine which is still a bit cheaper than Biossance. I don’t think I can justify the extra cost. It is a great product though.

Twilight7777 · 31/01/2023 22:53

The shay and blue black tulip perfume, I still have it from last year, I haven’t gotten round to purchasing it yet!
