What has been the best new (to you) product in your beauty advent calendar?

Mine is Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil. I love it. It’s pretty expensive but the 30 ml bottle I got in my Latest in Beauty calendar will last for ages.

Definitely the Lumene oil from the John Lewis calender... absolutely love it!

Use it instead of shampoo. Scoop a bit out with your finger a teaspoon will probably be enough, massage into scalp then rinse. It lathers brilliantly.

Thanks so much.

Pai rosehip cleansing oil. Didn’t rate the brand before but this is going to be a repeat purchase for sure.

Another vote for this, it’s genuinely very very good and I’ll absolutely purchase again!

@CardinaldeRichelieu re the Susanne Kauffman eye serum, I love the feeling of it and it’s the only eye product I’ve used that noticeably depuffs and helps with dark circles. I keep it in the fridge and to be fair, the effects are probably largely due to the metal applicator and the cooling sensation, which you could get from a cold spoon. I also enjoy layering products and enjoy wearing it under a thicker, moisturising eye cream or moisturiser for added hydration.

Zoetrope1 · 03/02/2023 10:24

I also love some of the perfumes, particularly Le Labo The Noir from Liberty and Santal Temple from Selfridges.

Zoetrope1 · 03/02/2023 10:25

Oops Le Labo The Matcha

The things I've rebought after getting them in advent calendars is Prai gold anti wrinkle cream, aveda leave in conditioner and Percy & reed styling cream.

I loved the Sunday Riley eye cream I got in a JL box but it's a bit £££ for me to justify buying it.

CardinaldeRichelieu · 03/02/2023 16:44

Thank you @Zoetrope1 I will try that method as I could certainly do with some help for my puffy eyes.

Murad intense recovery moisturiser. Strange texture, it's a solid balm but I kind of stroke it with the flat of my hand to get a layer to pat on the skin.
