A tinted moisturiser/cc cream for 50+ skin? Not Erborian!

I spent 40 on the Erborian CC cream and it's just too orange, despite the woman in space NK hard selling it to me 🤨

I do love the texture and the feel of it though. Anything else that people recommend? The Trinny BFF sounds good but they are out of stock in my colour.

I bought the tinted moisturiser for older women from Boots no. 7 - nice texture and not orange in tone.

Laura Mercia tinted moisturiser is lovely, it is more of a foundation rather than a bb/cc cream though. It doesn't sit in lines on skin and does look very fresh and glowy.

Fuckitydoodah · 24/01/2023 11:16

Take a look at It cosmetics your skin but better cc cream. They have several types.

Pegsmum · 24/01/2023 11:17

IT cosmetics cc cream.

BringMeTea · 24/01/2023 11:28

I am liking CLE cosmetics ccc cream. Not orange like Erborian. Also Korean origin. On offer on Skincity at the moment.

Thanks!

Glossier skin tint is fantastic

sleepwhenidie · 24/01/2023 16:27

Do you have the Doré shade of Erborian? The clair is lighter, I bought doré by mistake (replacing an empty clair) and now blend the two, which works well.

otherwise It cc cream is very good, I find it a bit heavier than Erborian.

I’m really liking Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue.

Purpleavocado · 24/01/2023 16:30

Beautypie tinted moisturiser is very nice, I just don't want to be tied into Beautypie.
Trinny BFF is more of a glowy moisturiser, the serum is more of a tint. It's quite shiney and needs powder. The BFF is nice, but I think broke me out so I won't repurchase either.

ROC - 50 plus- very good if a bit chalky- I developed a weird sensitivity on my forehead and top of nose after using L'Oréal's golden age ( and I'm not the only one) and this stops the weird burning feeling I was getting at the first sniff of sun

Notellinganyone · 24/01/2023 16:52

I didn’t get on with Erborian at all and I tried two shades. I then tried Bare Minerals, Laura Mercier and various others. Estée Lauder Doublewear sheer long wear is perfect. It says it’s a foundation but it’s very light and together with the concealer I look 10 years younger.

Sabrinasouffle · 24/01/2023 16:58

I wonder if you got the wrong shade?
Clair is paler and not orange

Greatly · 24/01/2023 17:02

She said clair was too light for me

The best tinted moisturizer I’ve tried - and I’ve been wearing tinted moisturizer since I was 18! - is ‘Sculpted by Aimee’ Tint and Glow. There are loads of shades and because she is Irish, it has loads of shades that suit pale complexions. It glides on, gives an amazing glow and stays all day. It is also very reasonably priced.

Lifesyoungdream · 24/01/2023 17:05

I use La Roche Posay Anthelios which is a tinted sun cream

Notjusta · 24/01/2023 17:06

I love the Nars Pure Radiant tinted moisturiser. Although it's probably more of a foundation to be honest. But it's a lovely texture and a very natural finish. Loads of shades too.

Oblomov22 · 24/01/2023 17:34

I can't find one I like atm.

Crikeyalmighty · 24/01/2023 17:36

Apologies I meant to say La Roche Posay- not ROC - as someone else said- it's a tinted sunscreen

CinnamonJellyBeans · 24/01/2023 18:13

I also got tangoed with Eborian Dore

CinnamonJellyBeans · 24/01/2023 18:14

I also found it dragged a bit when applying and did nothing for my skin but give it a patchy bad ski tan look

Flipthefrugal · 24/01/2023 18:15

You can but a smaller size in the clair.
It's lovely, light but not chalky

TheMatriarchy · 24/01/2023 19:08

Another vote for Bare Mineral complexion rescue. The colours are great they dont go orange and can be built up if you want more cover.

Dh swears I don't look orange but I fear he's just trying to be nice

The Ordinary serum foundation is really lovely and very cheap - if you don't mind the cost, the brightening cc serum by Terry is fabulous and also smells amazing. I wear the apricot colour which is more a pale gold.
