A tinted moisturiser/cc cream for 50+ skin? Not Erborian!

I spent 40 on the Erborian CC cream and it's just too orange, despite the woman in space NK hard selling it to me 🤨

I do love the texture and the feel of it though. Anything else that people recommend? The Trinny BFF sounds good but they are out of stock in my colour.

I'm a bit wary of the 'adaptive' ones. I've got dark blonde grey hair and blue eyes and quite palish but goldeny skin. Lots seem to go orange.

She tried the clair then said it was too light and said the dore was better - I looked in the mirror and it looked great in the flatteringly lit shop.

You sound very similar to me hair, eyes & skin. I use and love Pixi H20 Skintint in nude.

I might give it a go.

Definitely use the SpaceNK WhatsApp customer service contact, IME they are excellent.

Well! Space NK are letting me return it and giving me a gift card. Delighted. Thanks, I would never have imagined that they would!

I never really understood the difference between bb and cc creams. I have the erborium bb in nude and it is a lovely beige colour with no hint of orange about it. You can order small sizes of it from look fantastic if you don't want to try a full size one. Sure other places do this too just happens to be where I got it from.

yes I have had that in the past and found it too chalky.

She said clair was too light for me

I found the same issue with Erborian CC. I look like I've been tangoed even with the palest (not very pale!) shade.

Erborian BB is a different story though! In shade Nude it's my daily essential. I'm 52 and have rubbish skin but Erborian BB makes me look amazing yet as if I'm not wearing anything on my face. Literally the best product I've ever found (and I've tried a LOT!)

Pre-Erborian BB I used to wear IT Cosmetics CC. It is quite heavy coverage but it doesn't shift, even when you're hot and sweaty and the SPF is surprisingly effective. So it has its uses.

Another vote for Nars tinted moisturiser! My absolute desert island product.

Chanel cc

BorgQueen · 25/01/2023 12:40

That’s odd, I’m very pale skinned, apart from red cheeks/rosacea flare ups and erborian is the only thing that looks natural on me and covers the red.

It isn't pale enough for me

Another vote for bare minerals complexion rescue. Very dewy and flattering.

Why is that odd? I sound completely different colouring to you!

I have never found one that doesn't go orange on me either. I love Boots no 7 Intelligent Colour foundation, whish has a much lighter texture than any tinted moisturiser I have tried, but even the lightest one is too dark for me, especially at this time of year.

I need a BIT of warmth. Laura Mercier nude was pretty good on me years ago. I've just ordered a mini version.
