What do you wear to sleep in ?

Just that really.
I saw another thread on here and it got me thinking ..
I love my pjs and warm fluffy socks but only in the evening amd at bedtime everything comes off for actual sleep. I just love the feel of the duvet and snuggling up to dp even when it was -9 last night ! I feel claustrophobic almost if I wear clothes in bed .
I must look flipping dreadful if I'm honest as 52 now but am interested to know what others find comfy in bed .

It's lovely you sleep as you do with your hubs. Mine is the one who's naked as I need to feel super warm and we snuggle all night. 😍

mondaytosunday · 17/12/2022 02:23

Oversized sleep shirt - like a long t-shirt. I sleep alone. This summer in the heat I wore nothing.

AnnieSnap · 17/12/2022 02:32

In the winter, light weight joggers and a sweatshirt. In the summer, very little or nothing at all.

GetUsedToTheHeatAgain · 17/12/2022 02:37

Same as you op, I cannot wear anything I feel like I am being strangled and get hot and bothered, always have done.

I live in a hot county and have a light duvet as I have to have something covering me as the aircon is set at 24 otherwise we would melt. But even when its very very cold I still cannot wear anything.

florriemoss · 17/12/2022 02:41

Long nightdress in winter. I've been wearing thermal leggings and long socks under them this week. I look like something from a period drama. Wearing a long black velvet nightdress at the moment with long sleeves. I also have pyjamas but don't wear those much.

Summer is sleep shorts and vest or crop top at height of summer. Short nightdress the rest of the time. Sleeping naked is probably nice but the DC don't tend to knock and I don't lock the door.

YukoandHiro · 17/12/2022 02:55

I'm the opposite, can't sleep if I'm naked. Even in the height of summer I need to wear a light cotton slip and pair of pants: now I'm infully cosy PJs under the cover. I get cold v easily at night. Poor hubs! 😂

SantaBakula · 17/12/2022 03:06

I get very cold easily but I never wear anything in bed . I have a hot water bottle and decent duvet.
However no matter how hot or cold it is I need something to cover me.

ZeldaWillTellYourFortune · 17/12/2022 03:16

Pants and a soft bra with no wiring. Everything cotton. Can't stand sleeping naked.

I call it my "sleep bikini." All year round.

Tuttifrutti25 · 17/12/2022 03:17

In summer short sleeved t-shirt with shorts/trousers.
In winter, full length pyjamas, fluffy socks and dressing gown - I feel the cold. Dry easily and DC still wakes up multiple times during the night so I need to be covered.

uhOhOP · 17/12/2022 03:27

We wear nothing. We like feeling each other's skin :)

Dustyblue · 17/12/2022 03:31

Comfy elastic sports bra, undies and long-sleeved t-shirt (knee length). In winter just add layers.

It's my "Day to Night" wear. Means I can answer the door at any time and not be caught out.

Our package-delivery route starts at 5am and I once made the delivery driver's day when answering the door half-sleep. In a see-through white t-shirt and nothing else. Never again.

Justellingthetruth · 17/12/2022 04:16

@Easterdaffsx

sarin pjs or nightdress /chemise every time.

Kezla · 17/12/2022 04:34

Currently wearing a baggy top and baggy jogging bottoms, not matching of course 😂 usual bedtime wear for me.
My dh is lucky 😂

gerispringer · 17/12/2022 04:38

Those who sleep naked- do you have to change your sheets frequently? ( isn’t it a bit unhygienic?) it’s PJ bottoms and T shirt for me.

Fedupofdiets · 17/12/2022 04:40

Much to my DH disgust I wear black cotton leggings and a long sleeved cotton top. I could never sleep naked and have issues with bottoms that are baggy and get twisted and ride up my leg. I have to be 100% comfy to be able to sleep and fell the cold badly.

Why would you think it is unhygienic? We shower and sleep naked and the sheets are fine.

GetUsedToTheHeatAgain · 17/12/2022 05:48

Same here shower before bed, bed changed each week dont see how that would be unhyginic?

MargotChateau · 17/12/2022 06:03

linen pjs, I need to be warm but also to be able to breathe. Bought a couple of pairs online in the Boxing Day sales last year, and they were the best investment ever!!!

Unhygienic in what way? We change our bedding every week – or sooner, if we need to – just like anybody else.

Creativecake · 17/12/2022 07:11

Pajama bottoms and a baggy t shirt. Sexy as hell!

Maldedos · 17/12/2022 07:14

Nothing if it’s warm.
If I’m cold then knickers and a vest/T-shirt.
Like you op i don’t like clothes on in bed.

grayhairdontcare · 17/12/2022 07:25

I sleep in a huge pair of belly warmer knickers regardless of the weather.
I just can't sleep with anything on my top half.

DivorcedAndDelighted · 17/12/2022 09:18

Nothing. Can't stand the feeling of clothes in bed, and when spending the night with DP we sleep all cuddled up and for me, that skin-to-skin contact is like a primal need.

Coffeetree · 17/12/2022 09:20

Chanel number 5!

gerispringer · 17/12/2022 09:29

If you sleep naked sweat and other bodily secretions will be transferred to your sheets rather than your clothing so they will be in need of more frequent washing. I change my underwear daily, but don’t change my sheets every day. If that doesn’t bother you then fine, it’s just an observation.
