Just that?

Worth the money? Break in period bearable and worth it?

OP posts:
Mumma · 14/12/2022 02:10

Yes

ShandaLear · 14/12/2022 04:20

Yes.

CheeseIsMyPatronus · 14/12/2022 04:25

If you get the soft leather ones there is no breaking in, they are very comfortable.

Cupcakegirl13 · 14/12/2022 04:40

I’m part way through a ‘break in ‘ so to speak 🤣 wearing them everyday around the house with thick socks , I’m resisting the urge to hurry the process and wear them out yet. But I LOVE them
so much and can’t wait for the day they slip on and feel like slippers !!

Housenoob · 14/12/2022 04:44

They look like clown shoes on me as I'm petite with very skinny legs. So while I like them, it's a no from me.

Derrymum123 · 14/12/2022 05:08

Yes. Never had to break mine in. I must be the standard foot type for them. I have lots of them too. I wouldn't wear anything else.

urbanbuddha · 14/12/2022 05:28

I couldn’t get past the break in and gave them away.

travelhelp · 14/12/2022 05:29

I've bought two pairs and never managed to break them in. They sit there beautifully but pointlessly at the moment Grin

SunshineAndSummer · 14/12/2022 05:30

Yes! Very worth the money and very durable. They gave me bad blisters at the back of my feet the first few wears, in hindsight I would have doubled up on plasters but now are sooooo comfy. However, soft leathers meant to be a lot easier to wear from the get go.

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 14/12/2022 05:56

Yes. I love mine. I've spent years getting cheap boots that I barely wear each winter. This Sept I opted to pay out for my docs and I love them. Mine are double zipped and barely needed breaking in, no blisters or anything.

I recommend using this stuff around your heel for extra comfort:

NT Kinesiology Elastic Tape | 5m... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0778XWSHR?ref=ppxpoppmobappshare

This.

The Pascal ones need zero breaking in.

MurderSheTyped · 14/12/2022 06:09

I've been a loyal fan of DM's for about 25 years, however I've ordered three pairs this year and sent them all back because they were all poor quality.

Bubbylana · 14/12/2022 06:16

Ive had apair for 20 years and they still arnt broken in as I wear them then give up. I do like them and if anyone can tell me how to make them more comfy I would be very grateful.

FlimFlam2 · 14/12/2022 06:19

If they rub the back of your heel, get insoles!

QueefofSheena · 14/12/2022 06:27

Get Solovairs instead. Better quality and far more durable. I’ve got lots of Docs but I won’t be buying another pair now due to quality issues.

Soccermumamir · 14/12/2022 14:44

Yes!! I love my Dr Martins. Didn't need to break them in, very comfortable and warm 🙂

ReviewingTheSituation · 14/12/2022 14:48

Get the soft ones. Comfy from the get go (and cheaper). I love mine.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 14/12/2022 14:49

I really want the boots with the fur inside. Are they comfy?

I bought a pair of these.

Did need to buy a thick pair of socks but break in was really easy.

KirstenBlest · 14/12/2022 14:51

Get Solovair ones instead. Much better quality.

MagpiePi · 14/12/2022 14:53

I sold mine when I found out the company supported Mermaids.
They were vegan ones and never really broke in properly and were freezing when it was cold.

Sooooo comfy! I love mine 😊

fruitpastille · 14/12/2022 14:57

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz I find the fur lined ones comfy. I did get a slight blister on one heel initially but this is common with any shoes for me and a compeed plaster sorted it.

I love mine and wear them for work/school run etc but I wouldn't walk miles in them as I find them quite heavy.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 14/12/2022 14:57

I’ve never liked the style so it’s no from me.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 14/12/2022 14:58

See now I'm sad they are comfy as they are 3 times the amount I've ever spent on shoes. Even my wedding shoes were under 40quid!
