M&S 12 days of Sparks - it's back!

Can't see a thread, please correct me if I'm wrong.

M&S has brought back its 12 days of Sparks offers. It was notoriously bad last year, but day 1 and I have a free hand cream to pick up in store. Not sure if I'll get the chance, but seems a stronger start than last year at least.

Got the robin yesterday, but our M&S was out of stock, 15% off M&S sparkle fizz (?) today.

@Peridot1 of course we're allowed to comment on the offer. It's not as if we're going to offend anyone personally. M&S is a business & isn't a sentient being.
I have offers all through the year & they're often cookies or cakes. I don't eat either as I'm dieting, so I just pass. Is that offensive too?

I have had the same as you. My shopping habits are different from yours so it will be interesting to see if we're just on the same rotation or it works differently.

Also got the 20% off prosecco today after the free gin yesterday. Interestingly, I've not shopped at all in M&S this year so their algorithms are quite fascinating! Previously, I only bought every four to six months, usually yellow stickers.

I kind of agree @Peridot1 . I was happy with the Robin decoration (which i don't want and won't pick up) until people who don't shop there much were getting bottles of booze. We spend thousands there! It feels like loyal customers are taken for granted. We better get something good over the 12 days or I will be royally pissed off.

M&S aren't doing us a favour. They want us to come and pick up our free item and hopefully buy some other stuff while we're at it. It's not something I feel I need to be grateful for, considering how much I spend in M&S. It's a good marketing ploy and a bit of fun for people. There's a bit of lighthearted grumbling on here, which I don't see the harm in. Nobody was keen to avail of the Gary Barlow experience last year and there were loads of comments on here about what a crap 'treat' it was, but it was all good humoured and a bit of light relief.

Just popped in to get a card and wrapping and pick up my free lights - they've run out and lots of people have come in and not been able to get them. So im going to Card Factory 😂

@Peridot1 You mention folk grumbling about items being a pain to collect, but I think it's important for people to hear if making a special trip to a large M&S there is no guarantee the item would be available anyway. As another PP mentions, it is a marketing ploy anyway and an effective way of getting people in store as most of us would likely buy a few bits while there so it's good to manage expectations too.

I'll pick up my free Percy sweets in my local small food M&S (and grateful for them too, even if they don't come attached to a bottle of prosecco!🐷) but good to hear other experiences of trying to pick up any higher value treats before making a special trip to a bigger store.

They told me they get deliveries every day and you can collect up to 12th

Picked up my chocolate florentines from yesterdays offer. Just looked at the box and the best before was September of this year! Will be taking them back again tomorrow!
