M&S 12 days of Sparks - it's back!

Can't see a thread, please correct me if I'm wrong.

M&S has brought back its 12 days of Sparks offers. It was notoriously bad last year, but day 1 and I have a free hand cream to pick up in store. Not sure if I'll get the chance, but seems a stronger start than last year at least.

No reward for me either! I opened all the doors and peaked with free fairy lights! I also was convinced a couple of the vouchers were valid for longer - but never mind.

Surely you'd just offer something to everyone, otherwise you annoy some customers.

Nothing here either. Also frustrating that the 20% off flowers, the only discount I will use, doesn’t let me use it against any of the Christmas flowers…you know, at Christmas!!

None of my days is the prize draw for a holiday and it's not on my app. No 13th day and definitely no personalised offers - if they were it would have been wine, snacks and men's jumpers.

The golden reward is the M&S glacé cherry on their whole 12 Days of Sparks offering.

It's like they gave the 'advent app project' to the worst Apprentice team ever, and realised the night before it launched that the prizes were all solid gold Percy Pigs, leading up to the keys to the Pantheon Oxford St store. Hence hasty 12th hour rejig with 15% off whatever was left in the present cupboard and a loud record scratch on the matter of the Golden Reveal.

Some of these posts are a bit harsh! M&S doesn’t owe you anything. The online advent calendar is a bit of fun. L’occitane does one too, with a similar scale of discounts, and I’m sure many other brands too. It’s just a sales tactic. Lower your expectations!

@Mrcpy the L'Occitane online calendar seems to be an alternating 25 days of a free tote bag or gift set if spend over a certain amount. I've given up as I just want 20% off their perfume!!

M&S really have delivered the ultimate drawer of disappointment today 😂

They absolutely don't owe us anything, but if they are going to do this, then at least do it properly. Giving free gifts that are never in stock isn't great, making offers mealy mouthed, such as 10% of flowers then excluding Christmas flowers.
The Sparks card is already rubbish compared to the Tesco Clubcard, really M&S should be going one better, because, you know - It's not just any loyalty card...🤣

No golden reward here either. At least I do have my L’Occitane beauty advent calendar (purchased from M&S) to open, which hasn’t disappointed me yet.

Same here. I stuck with it and opened all twelve doors. I had a golden offer for day 13 which was there until late last night. It has now disappeared, just the twelve days there of useless offers which I got and opened. Used one of them just because I happened to be in store.

At least with Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury's even Lidl you know what you are working for and what you will get.

Yep, no golden reward for me either. I opened all 12. Bit rubbish really. IDK why I thought it would be any different than their normal “offers” - never in stock, & irrelevant to me. You’d think with all the data mining they can do through the app, they’d be able to figure out who buys what products.

According to their twitter account just now, day 13s reward is hot choc shots . Lumps of chocolate with Irish cream in to make a hot chocolate drink. Absolutely nothing on my app though

Another person disappointed at a) the sheer shitness of the rewards and b) the lack of a promised golden reward.

Honestly they'd have been better off not bothering with their rewards at all! All.this has done is draw attention to how crap their loyalty scheme is in comparison with other retailers.

No golden reward either and days 8-12 don’t look like they’ve been opened but the offers I received for them are in the my sparks rewards.
