M&S 12 days of Sparks - it's back!

M&S has brought back its 12 days of Sparks offers. It was notoriously bad last year, but day 1 and I have a free hand cream to pick up in store. Not sure if I'll get the chance, but seems a stronger start than last year at least.

I got the free tea lantern on the first day and have been away reading on here,it looks like it will be out of stock when I go today.

i snorted my coffee when I read 50% off a shortbread if you buy a hot drink in the cafe - that is PATHETIC M&S!!!!

Another push for a tin for me. I hate packaging waste and would not purchase or keep the tin. I’d possibly use £1 off a box of chocolates where you could recycle the box. This is the reason I’ve not collected the tin on day one, the tin would go in the bin!

Free alcohol, sweets, chocolates or satsumas I’d have gone into store for! The % off offers I’ve had are all things I won’t be buying and are very random. I’m a regular shopper and there are lots of things I’d have gone into store for, and brought more! This is a total miss for me so far.

I got the discount off the shortbread with a hot drink too. I’m actually laughing now at how bad this is! Who on Earth came up with the ideas?

A free hand cream, which is not available in the local store, and then discounts for products which I never buy. So much for personalised offers.

These offers are laughable, I appreciate times are hard for every high street shop but really M&S, you might as well have not bothered

I think this whole promotion is an absolute con and rather than encourage me to shop at M&S it has had the complete opposite effect !

I'm vegan with teenagers. Nothing i buy in M and S would indicate that I want to buy biscuits, dairy or kids toys.

Half of a biscuit free too! 😆As tempting as that is, and risking the wrath of the 'dont be ungrateful' brigade I'll skip it given the 30-mile round trip to a cafe store, parking fee, buying the qualifying hot drink and the other half of the biscuit (assuming in stock anway).

I suppose it's done on how much you use your sparks card. Annoying as, until we moved a couple of years ago l, I spent loads in M&S every week. Now it's only a small amount every 2 weeks or so. They're certainly not doing anything to tempt me to go more often.
