I can't afford the actual ones so wondered if anyone knows of a good but cheaper alternative? TIA

Try Amazon. I got mine and my DD from there. I think about £30 each. Well worth it as I've yet to put the heating on

bettybyebye · 11/10/2022 20:05

Do you know anyone else that wants an oodie? Me and my son got them on a BOGOF offer so only came to £42 each. This is only about a tenner more than the Amazon dupes and they are so much better! Also tried the primark dupes but to be honest nothing as good as the oodie

Costco's carries the Comfy. I've had mine for three years and it's great! www.costco.co.uk/Jewellery-Accessories-Clothing/Clothing/The-Comfy-Original-Wearable-Blanket-in-5-Colours/p/1281486

Primark do great ones, I think the highest price is around £25. Snuddies they're called.

I've got an Ony and it's lush

excelledyourself · 11/10/2022 20:17

I've got the £18 version from Dunelm, and it's brilliant. Read the reviews.

I'll definitely be buying another as I'm already living in the first one.

WHC123 · 11/10/2022 20:17

Another vote for Ony here. Bought mine from John Lewis

buggeredmyleg · 11/10/2022 20:24

I have a real one and a knock of from eBay. Both are warm but the oodie is definitely the warmest

FreezingThyme · 11/10/2022 20:24

Thank you all so much. I didn't think I'd get any response . Off to look at all the ones recommended.

They are so ugly though. Does anyone sell something similar that isn’t covered in twee little pictures?

I give up trying to link!

I got my daughters dupes but I wish I'd got them the real thing. Their friends' real Oodies are much, much nicer.

Susieblue18 · 11/10/2022 21:33

B & M, just got mine the other day and love it. £18 for womens, £20 for men and £12 for kids. My niece has an original oodie which I tried on but I like mine better. We’re all walking around the house with them on, so cosy!

karmalama · 11/10/2022 21:39

I have a real one and a dunelm one
I actually much prefer the dunelm one as it's lighter and less restrictive.

QueenAstrid · 11/10/2022 21:48

Another vote for the Dunelm one! It’s so cosy and saving me putting the heating on so far.

sandytooth · 11/10/2022 21:57

The oodies are too good for my liking in that they are too warm. If I was outside in one or for the depths of winter they are excellent but I need something a bit less warm for now.

Shitfather · 12/10/2022 07:53

Get to your local Primark. As mentioned above, they have a 25 quid one, which looked very warm. I went with a 16 quid fluffy one to gauge how warm it would keep me with various layers. It is AMAZING. I sleep with it and it’s incredibly cosy.

AriettyHomily · 12/10/2022 07:58

I've got the primark one, so comfy but it's too hot!

I managed to find one in Dunelm that wasn't too bad, black with spaced out spots. I wanted one that wouldn't look like a kids pyjama print or insipid dressing gown fabric, for Teams calls

FreezingThyme · 12/10/2022 11:21

Thanks everyone. So helpful. I’m going to look at the primark and dunelm ones. I’d love to get the real thing. If I just wanted one, I would splash out on an Oodie but they’re for presents and I need 4.

I’ve got an Ony and it’s great. Almost too warm.

l think the mumsnet raves about Oodies are like the Mumsnet Saltwater sandals, and Haviana flip flops. Nothing special about any of them.

Anyone found ones that are zipped ?
