Beauty advent 22 part 2 (massive spoilers)

I don't know the etiquette of starting a runover of someone else's thread. I hope this is OK.

Reminder advent22 gives a hand-wash and handcream free gift on space nk.

I bought it, but now I have alight regret. I should have held out to see what harrods had.

The CEO cream wasn't 5oz as had been trailed on many calendar sites, but 0.5oz, 15ml. 5oz would have been a ridiculous size so that makes sense.

Tip for CB - call customer services if sold out. I did in Dec 2019 and they have spare stock for disgruntled existing CB customers so got one!

I think some brands stock according to demand. I remember that last year Space NK kept going out of stock and then being re-stocked. I imagine that they order more depending on how well it's selling, but perhaps with an upper limit

I'm surprised that Liberty is still in stock tbh. I thought it would sell out due to demand from beauty drop customers.

I think that John Lewis was in and out of stock 4 or 5 times last years as well, so I imagine that they also stock according to demand

@PomRuns my Liberty resolve is definitely waning! Had the email this morning advising that the £10 off for Beauty Drop members is still active too. I’ve been holding out to see the contents of Harrods, but to be honest I’m getting fed up with the wait. I’m on the verge of ordering Liberty just to get the whole calendar dilemma settled hahahaha………

The Harrods website names I think three of the fragrances but I can’t find better information anywhere. Till tomorrow, as you say.

The first ever Sunday Times Style Beauty advent calendar launches tomorrow. £199 for £810 worth that includes an alleged 21 full sizes (I suspect it's the usual full size = full travel size).

Could be interesting. Looks like a full size (£78) Kate Somerville's Exfolikate is in there.

@Adventadventures what a relief. I was worried I'd need to buy it. There are some nice bits there. But I think i can resist.

John lewis is pretty much the perfect calendar for me, and I have 15 off so it's so much cheaper than harrods.

The Murad night cream in the Harrods one is great but there’s not enough other delights to tempt me which is a relief as I opted for Liberty!

I like Ren but that AHA tonic… it’s everywhere.

@BurningTheToast I haven't tried any murad retinol. Do you rate it? The Sunday Riley vit c serum is good. And I'd like to try creed to see what the fuss is about.

But I'm already going over the top. I need to not buy the harrods as well.

There are a couple of bits in Harrods that I'd like to try, but not worth buying the whole calendar for. Might pick them up on eBay after Xmas.

My credit card offers have 10pc off spends of over 200, bringing the harrods down to 225. Amex. Worth checking your cards.

I’m now tempted with the Harrods…but I want to know what the Evidens product and the 3 other ones are first. I think the scent advent sounds lovely too….not sure how long it will hang around.

This time of year is becoming more expensive on pressies for myself 😁
