Beauty advent 22 part 2 (massive spoilers)

I don't know the etiquette of starting a runover of someone else's thread. I hope this is OK.

Reminder advent22 gives a hand-wash and handcream free gift on space nk.

I bought it, but now I have alight regret. I should have held out to see what harrods had.

The CEO cream wasn't 5oz as had been trailed on many calendar sites, but 0.5oz, 15ml. 5oz would have been a ridiculous size so that makes sense.

I don't normally wear powder and I have a couple of those from previous years. Lipstick is too pink for me (I have olive skin and I think that shade will only work well on pale skin. Pinks don't work on me anyway). Don't like the eyeshadow. Not a fan of multipurpose lip and cheek products and not sure about the shade.

I would use the mascara.

It's a shame because I think that JL is otherwise good

Just shows how lucky we are to have such a wide choice of calendars in the U.K. to suit a variety of tastes. The JL lipstick shade is also too pale and pink for me, but I do like Bobbi Brown and the CT palette. Could do without the setting powder though …

I think I’ve got now £30off from space nk to use (I’ve done loads of reviews the last few weeks to get free money). Just awaiting for a discount or doble points to get it (I’ve Liberty as well so wanted to get it as affordable aa possible this one)

Having never had a beauty calendar before, I've now ended up with both Liberty and John Lewis. I entirely blame this thread! Thanks to whoever it was who gave the heads up about the £15 off at JL, the discount made it seem much more justifiable 😀

JL calendar achieved😄Thanks to whoever first mentioned the £15 JLP card code (MYJL15OFF) I signed up on that basis. The code didn’t show up in my rewards but worked anyway when I just used it.

I didn’t join the CB waiting list but have just got an email today, presumably to the whole mailing list, about the calendar. Still available. Very definitely not in demand like it was.

Pondering JL today as I have the £15 off. But I am thinking I’ll probably go with Anthropologie. That’s all minis but I don’t really mind. I just can’t really justify a big (£100+) spend right now.

JL purchased using the 15 off. Had a last minute waiver but the Votary serum swung it really. I actually really like the makeup shades but I have a medium/fair complexion. Keen to try the reformulated Mac lipstick as I've always found them drying. I like a mix of makeup and skincare - bit of makeup keeps it interesting! & I agree about that Westman eye pod @AprilLady I love it too

Bought JL too . The £15 running out tonight was a very clever marketing tool I think as no time for contemplation and talking myself out of it and then back in and then out ad nasuem. Really excited now but slightly sad all the deliberation spreadsheets discussions etc are almost over as most of us have decided/bought . Just need to resist Marks and Spencer now and forget everything that is in the JL advent calendar until the unboxing in December

I finally got JL for myself and 2 X LF for my nieces. However I’m tempted by CB; successfully avoiding temptation up to now.
Liberty credit spent in men’s AC. I really want to go back to Liberty (been buying it from year 1 but last year I went for Space NK and this year I gave it a miss). Not happy at all with customer services at Liberty and Space NK, they had no idea about shipping to the EU, taxes, etc!

Were you able to ship JL to EU @LaBrujaPiruja ?

Oh wow lucky you @MidnightMeltdown . I have just realised Feel Unique haven’t announced their advent yet. I hope it is not really good I have spent my money now. Not sure why they are taking so long to announce last year I think they were one of the first out

No! JL for me, delivered to home in London. LF delivered to nieces’ addresses in Valencia and Barcelona.

Yes I won't count count CB considering that it was more or less 'free'. Never mind the fact that I don't actually need all the products 😂.

Now I just need to get on with using stuff up before December to make space for the new haul!

JL still in stock. I think that the first drop sold out pretty quickly last year.

I'd love to know how many they have and what the difference in sales is compared to last year.

Argh my CB has been 'delivered' by Royal Mail but has actually just been left by the front door, no one will be home until 5.30 I hope it's still there .

That was quick! Mine hasn't shipped yet and I went for the express delivery of 1-2 days. It hasn't a notion of getting here by tomorrow even if it's shipped today as it will either have to go through customs if coming from the UK or travel half way across europe if shipped from somewhere within in the EU other than Ireland.

Ive just ordered the JL one. Seems really extravagant but I am swayed by everyone on this thread! I will use most things in it so seems good value.
