I bought it, but now I have alight regret. I should have held out to see what harrods had.

The CEO cream wasn't 5oz as had been trailed on many calendar sites, but 0.5oz, 15ml. 5oz would have been a ridiculous size so that makes sense.

Can I ask all who buying Cult, what is the stand out products for you? X

I’ve resisted it. There are too many things in it that I wouldn’t use, and I don’t like the shade of lipstick at all.
I might choose my own items from the website and make my own calendar and get the free goody bag. I think they release that after the advent calendar

I have so much unused stuff in my cupboards anyway it feels obscene to buy more. I’m not blown away by CB or Liberty. I might get the JL one though.

The skincare. Sunday Riley vitamin c serum, niod, the medik8 retinoate. And there aren't any drawers of disappointment. Even tho there's too much haircare etc, i will use everything.

It's just the right selection for me. Other calendars like liberty are great, just not for me this year.

I’m exactly the same @SilverLiningPlaybook. I can’t justify one at all. Was going to go for the M&S one just to stop the inevitable FOMO in December but I don’t think I can even justify that really. I think I could make myself 3 calendars of full size products from my stash if I wanted!

CB still on sale but I'm decided on JL. Also bought degusta yesterday

I’m not buying one. I want to but realistically my stash is huge and I know that there will be more releases of things like the Cult Beauty edit boxes and potential goody bags pre Christmas that I’d rather have. So I’m sitting on my hands trying not to twitch

I have resisted Cult Beauty too (so far) although did have another look at it again and it does look impressive. For those who are not getting one. What I did last year was choose a few stand out items from a few advent calendars and bought them individually on eBay instead so I didn’t feel like I was missing out altogether.

This is what I'm doing, building my own this year and keeping an eye out for some GWP too.

I'm surprised that CB is still available. For the previous 3 years it has sold out within hours.

I've caved, and bought Cult Beauty as well as SpaceNK🤫. I'm in Rep of Ireland so am limited with choice. I'm thinking of opening one over month of November so I'll be gorgeous by Christmas!!!

Tough times ahead this winter and beyond. People are tightening their belts and I imagine beauty advent calendars aren't a priority when some people will have to choose between heating or eating.

Yes I was thinking the same. I don't think it's ever been available for this long before. Nice for people who don't normally get a chance to buy during the day.

I’ve ordered CB. I completely forgot about it going on sale today but they were still available 3 hours after going live. What I love about CB, apart from the products themselves, are that many days have multiple items in!

It seems that all these brands who have hiked their prices, at a time when fewer people can afford to pay them, are going to be in for a rude awakening when they struggle to shift their calendars.

Liberty's Beauty Drop is looking like a very good idea by whoever came up with it. I'm sure it generated more calendar purchases than they would have got otherwise given the current economic climate. And they've been earning interest on the money held too - while we've all enjoyed the freebies and free p&p. What a winner!

I only have last years green calendar from Bodyshop. And I am even regifting bits I won't use....

I won't buy any full price calendar this year but if there is a good deal I might get one. Black Friday etc.

Although I surprised that Liberty also hasn't sold out. I thought that it would because of the beauty drop.

I wonder if we will get any Black Friday bargains? A couple of years ago there were plenty to be had!

I’m not surprised CB hasn’t sold out. I think after 2020, when everything sold very quickly, most of the retailers now make a lot more calendars. Also, they’ve become more expensive relatively speaking at a time when many are struggling. And I also don’t think CB is as good this year as last year. There is oddly little make up in it, compared with previous years, and what there is is not particularly exciting.

Last year’s Westman Atelier Tabac eyeshadow in the CB calendar was probably the best new thing I tried from any calendar - it has become my go to everyday eyeshadow and I’ve since repurchased on ebay.

Doing the spreadsheet has really helped me - whenever I get a bout of FOMO I remind myself by looking at the spreadsheet why I am not getting eg CB, SpaceNK, or NAP this year. I’ll add Harrods to the spreadsheet now that we have full contents, but I’m expecting it to also be a no this year too.

I originally wrote it off as didn't look at it properly assuming it had too much make up (which was mainly lovely last year, I just don't need any more) it was only when I did my spreadsheet and realised there wasn't as much as I expected that I started to consider it.

That's what I like about it too! The makeup is what usually puts me off beauty calendars. I like a mascara, and maybe a brow gel, which are fairly universal options, but that's about it.

I'm sick of setting powders and primers. The makeup shades in the JL calendar are especially bad this year IMO.

Really? I don't like bobbi brown products and I don't much like the Tilbury quad. But the mac lippy is very usable, the powder is translucent and the mascara is black.
