Beauty advent 22 part 2 (massive spoilers)

I don't know the etiquette of starting a runover of someone else's thread. I hope this is OK.

Reminder advent22 gives a hand-wash and handcream free gift on space nk.

I bought it, but now I have alight regret. I should have held out to see what harrods had.

The CEO cream wasn't 5oz as had been trailed on many calendar sites, but 0.5oz, 15ml. 5oz would have been a ridiculous size so that makes sense.

Yes I certainly wasn't expecting it so quickly hence I hadn't made sure anyone would be home!

I only selected the normal 2-3 days delivery but I assume they are just getting them all out asap.

I did manage to get the Harrods fragrance one and am quite excited!

Will anyone be getting the Harrods beauty one? I've seen a few PP say it's a bit disappointing compared to last years. I had last year's and thought it was great.

You're so lucky! I missed out on the Harrods one....keep checking to see if it comes back in stock. Fingers crossed it does as it sounds glorious.

I do actually like the look of the Harrods beauty one, I just can't justify getting another one!

I particularly like the full size Bioeffect EGF serum and I would like to try the CC cream and the Rodial drops. Lipstick shade looks good and it looks like it has a full size Boy smells candle.

After saying that I don't like makeup in calendars - I'd actually like to try the makeup in this one! It does have the dreaded setting powders though... 😒

@MidnightMeltdown the thing is I am also planning on getting M&S as it's such good value so was feeling ok about not getting the Harrods one.

Now you're tempting me all over again 🤣

Logically it's so excessive and would add up to a lot but...I'm weak...

I've decided not to get M&S. I've had it for the past few years but I'm not feeling it this year.

I'm not sure that giving up a £40 calendar means that I can justify buying a £250 one though! 😂

At first I thought Harrods looked too samey with repeated products but when I took a proper look I could see the variety and the high quality....dithering about it now having written it off a few days ago.

I’m looking to buy the Harrods. I was going to get the Cult Beauty but the Harrods one has a few makes I haven’t tried. I received my perfume advent from Harrods today too…I’m quite excited, trying to refrain from opening 😁
I have the Liberty stashed away also….only planned on one, that vow went downhill very quickly. 😬

My CB one has been shipped. DHL have received the shipping information. It's coming from the UK so customs stuff usually takes a day or two. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of the week.

John Lewis looks great but I am desperately sitting on my hands. I really can’t justify it this year with energy bills/prospect of remortgage etc :(

I have bought the Liberty and JL advent calendars and am very tempted by Cult Beauty! And in the spirit of a full confession Love Jo looks good too (and is something a bit different).

I need to stop quickly.

Oh and I have also ordered the Next Mens calendar for my son....

@SoloCat my willpower has deserted me too! I’ve had F&M sat here for so long that I started to raid the contents (the Cult51 cream and an AA bath and shower oil are already in use), so I’ve decided to just open it all and wade through as much as can before December. This has left me ‘advent free’ so to avoid the dreaded FOMO I have now bought the Harrods fragrance advent (arrived today 😊) and ordered JL.. Now I’m completely done, as is my bank balance hahahah

It's so hard to resist, I concur. But then I remind myself this is the one time of year I allow myself a beauty treat. Usually I just buy the cheap stuff from Home Bargains.

Did you enjoy Fortnum's? I had it a couple of years ago and it felt like pure luxury.

I do think the Jo Loves look lovely …they’re all so addictive @BeginningBridge I do like the look of the Medik8 retinol in CB, looks a great selection of products, I was tempted, but trying not to purchase as I want the Harrods.
Why does it have to be so difficult..🙄 dramatic sob 😥

I'm really glad you enjoyed it, Luvva. If I hadn't got it before I would have, as I thoroughly enjoyed it...probably the most out of all the calendars I have ever had. It was a real sensory experience - the feel, the scent, the appearance...Not even Harrods last year felt as luxurious. I loved Cult 51. Not sure it did much, but it was such a pleasure to use.

I am quite relieved by the lack of self restraint on this thread!!!! Fortunately Harrods and JL don’t ship abroad otherwise I would have been tempted by them in addition to the CB one I’ve ordered.

When the contents of Feel Unique are released I may think about getting that. Oh and I am partial to a Lumene calendar so may look at that too. Now to start slathering on products in an attempt to reduce my stash!
