Is this dress inappropriate for a wedding?

My boyfriend said he thinks this dress isn't appropriate for a wedding because it's red? This is new to me? The last two weddings we've been to I've wore red and he didn't say anything. So I'm just wondering what peoples thoughts are is this appropriate?

Red is fine but sorry OP, the dress imo isn’t suitable for a wedding.

As others have said, the colour isn't the problem, it's the style.
It's way too flashy for a wedding and screams "look at me" in a bad way.

Red is a lovely colour but I have to agree with the others, very inappropriate, too low cut and the slit is way to high. One or the other, NOT both.

Is it a flamenco wedding? The colour is stunning, but the style is far too Come dancing with the stars.

To be honest....much too OTT for a wedding. The wedding is for the bride...her day and she should be the centre of attention. Not being rude...but would be kinder to tone it down.

The green dress looks fine for a wedding in my opinion.

If you think he thinks its OTT.....then you must have an inkling why he thinks its OTT. Its nothing to do with frump...or Toast....a wedding is a day that most women plan for and dream of. The bride should get the attention....not a guest. This would be the equivalent of the Bridegrooms mum turning up in a wedding dress.....

Yeah, I wouldn’t wear that to a wedding unless I was the evening entertainment. Mind you, I’d kill to have a body that I could wear that dress with…🤣🤣
