What's your style this year? I've loved menorcan sandals, arizonas, various little simple strap sandals and this year I'm wondering about something a bit more chunky.

But hard to say without trying them on. Not my usual style at all! But would love something super comfy to see me through summer.

Which ones did you buy? I've just ordered my first ever pair (dark brown leather Milanos), and I can't wait for them to arrive!

I just bought the Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle in cognac and I am in love.

The colour is the perfect brown between business and casual. The gold buckle is really gold and I was worried it might be garish but it adds some pizazz. The sole is brown which means sweaty feet won't show as quick. The undersole is cream which looks fab with the brown. And so comfy.

I also saw on their website that they can be resoled! So I think they could last a decade. Really happy with them for smart casual wear.

The leather has that lovely worn look.

I've gone chunky this year.

I got these in tan (no longer on the website, were on sale so I got them for £20!).

I've gone for these as they're quite similar to the DM sandals but a bit less chunky, which is better for me as I'm short with small feet.

I bought these fisherman sandals too. I tried a pair of more delicate fisherman sandals but I looked like I was wearing childrens' shoes so I think the chunkiness balances that out.

I'm also considering a pair of Saltwater sandals for something more casual and easy to wear.

Ok so my sandals arrived today… they look (and smell) like something you’d buy in a Cairo market (which I have) and the ones that looked like they had the woven soles (like espadrilles) are solid (so patterned to look like they are rope). Not £40ish worth of shoe!

The acid test is when I wear them tomorrow! The sizes are fine though (I’m a 5 and ordered the US 7 and they are ok).

I’m a wee bit disappointed - but if they are super comfy I will be happy.

They look nice - but I have feet life hooves and won’t inflict them on others! 😆

Ok so my sandals - wore them for about 15k stems and… actually comfy! No socks and one did start to be a little scratchy in the top of my toe as I got to my front step (coming home). So pleasantly surprised!

they don’t look like they will be very robust but I kill shoes.
