Wedding guest - acceptable?

Is this dress acceptable for a wedding? Non-religious, full day and night invite.

Bit worried it is too booby, sister says no, mum says yes

Wedding guest - acceptable?

Ooh it's lovely

BirdWatch · 27/04/2022 03:53

I think so.

BirdWatch · 27/04/2022 03:55

Sorry, I mean I think it is fine for a wedding.

dotmckee · 27/04/2022 07:44

@ElizabethinherGermanGarden Yeah think your point about being boob conscious is what I am worrying about.

I have usually gone with legs over boobs but since having a baby 2 years ago my legs look pretty different and I don't feel as confident getting my legs out. But I also am not used to seeing my own cleavage if that makes sense!

Tbf my mum asked if I had an alternative and when I said no, she said "go with it then - but wear with confidence! You don't want to keep fiddling at the neckline".

Don't wear anything underneath, it will spoil the look of the dress and it looks perfect.

WouldBeGood · 27/04/2022 07:54

Gorgeous, @dotmckee

tcjotm · 27/04/2022 12:14

That’s good advice from your mum OP. It’s booby but only too booby if you’re self-conscious. Wear it with pride, don’t fuss over the neckline while wearing it. You have a lovely figure and it looks fab.

Verite1 · 27/04/2022 12:27

I think it looks great and i think a camisole will spoil the line. You could use tit tape along the edges to prevent any further spillage.

luckylavender · 27/04/2022 13:20

I love it

Appleblum · 27/04/2022 13:25

It's fine. Looks lovely!

Shinyandnew2022 · 27/04/2022 15:20

OP you look absolutely gorgeous- please wear it just as it is!
There is no way anyone normal could think you look anything but lovely

Great website too thanks for sharing !

myeyesneverstoprolling · 27/04/2022 15:51

This dress is absolutely perfect for you. I hope these compliments give you a confidence boost. Just don't forget the most important thing is how you think and feel in this dress.

mycatallowsmetolivehere · 27/04/2022 17:19

Sorry to sound like a parrot - but like everyone else - gorgeous dress and looks fab on you ! Don't bother with the cami , you rock that dress !

InkySquid · 27/04/2022 17:59

I have a wedding next month, tempted to try it myself, been looking for a dress with sleeves that's doesn't look too wintery

dotmckee · 27/04/2022 18:15

@tcjotm Think that's the thing, need to feel confident and show confidence when wearing it - the truly unexpected number of lovely comments here is definitely helping!
@Shinyandnew2022 you are welcome! Never come across them before but found it on Facebook, glad other people are finding them through this!
@InkySquid yeah I like having a sleeve as well, and it is lined as well. Honestly pretty impressed with the quality considering it was only £50

InkySquid · 27/04/2022 18:32

What's the fit like? Wondering what size to get, I'm a 10 normally but an 8 in shops like m&s/next

dotmckee · 27/04/2022 18:36

@InkySquid Pretty true to size - I am size 12 most places and this is a size 12. I am quite tall - nearly 6 foot so it is a little shorter on me than on the model but not much

They have just put out the same dress in a lighter colour which might work for summer weddings

Lovely

milawops · 27/04/2022 19:00

It's not too boobie at all. And if I had that dress and looked like that in it I would wear it every-time I left the house.

mycatisannoying · 27/04/2022 19:08

Absolutely fine!

catandcoffee · 27/04/2022 19:39

it suits you,but if you feel you're showing too much boob..you won't feel comfortable at the wedding.

GreenClock · 27/04/2022 19:40

At 6’ tall and a size 12 you’d look great in most things. This dress is great too.

Mrstwiddle · 27/04/2022 19:42

Sorry, I’m with your mum

EmergencyPoncho · 27/04/2022 20:51

Gorgeous and really suits you.
