I have been through them all. Despite following the instructions inc about shaving and exfoliating and moisturising etc I can NOT get an even nice colour?! Is there one that adapts to your skin??

Brawoe1 · 23/04/2022 17:55

What i would REAALLY like is a daily gradual tan type that is actually good for my skin? I get KP though… does THAT exist??

Skinny Tan and Bondi Sands gradual tanners work well for me.

Mamabananananana · 23/04/2022 17:57

Bondi sands gradual mousse. So lovely. Tan nornally breaks me out but this ones lovely.
also lovely natural colour. ( im very pale so its builable )

ShirleyPhallus · 23/04/2022 17:57

The key for me is to put on more than you think and keep buffing away with the mit. I only get streaks when I don’t put much on.

So I do mit with a few pumps, then buff a lot, then do it again, buff buff, same again buff buff

Leave feet and ankles until the end then apply a blob of moisturiser to each foot, no more tan on the mit and buff in with what you’ve got.

Leaves me streak free every time.

I reckon you need to use more and blend more OP

CJCreggsGoldfish · 23/04/2022 17:59

Skinny Tan mousse is great. I find it really easy to put on with a mitt.

Vsirbdo · 23/04/2022 17:59

I’m very pale and number 7 used with a fake tan mitt is my firm favourite

Fernsinthegarden · 23/04/2022 18:00

Dove dermaspa, used last year and was delighted to discover its half price in boots atm. Gradual tan, they do a face one too!

Brawoe1 · 23/04/2022 19:23

I think I have derma spa I bought last year. How long can you keep fake tan for??

I’m pale - I love coco butter gradual tan. Wouldn’t waste time on anything else.

MrsDThomas · 23/04/2022 19:30

Bondi Sands for me. Dark.

Jollyandbright · 23/04/2022 19:34

I’m super pale.

my go to is st tropez purity gel.
i only need to top it up once a week and it’s a very even tan.

Isle Of Paradise drops are a close second place for me.

MangoLipstick · 23/04/2022 19:36

Dove Visible Glow, gradual tanner

Its very natural looking, I build it up over a couple of days when I want abit of a glow and it gives me a nice light sun kissed look. It doesn’t go patchy like some heavier tans I have used in the past. It smells good and is very moisturising.

Kitten2 · 23/04/2022 19:37

Never go for light/medium however light /medium you might be. Always comes out yellowish. Go for dark.

I like the st tropez express mousse. I keep it on for 2 hours then wash off and I use a mit. Apply plenty.

ABitOfAShitShow · 23/04/2022 19:41

Coco and Eve! Develops in 2 hours as well.

waggymaggie · 23/04/2022 19:47

Opretty tanning mousse is amazing, smells lovely, no streaks, no transfer and lasts really well. Also the Opretty spritz and glow tanning mist is more subtle but again smells lovely and leaves my skin feeling and looking so healthy. www.opretty.co.uk/

James Read Tan

AchillesPoirot · 23/04/2022 20:27

I have to say that the best tan by far is the opretty tan. There is a dark tan, medium tan, tanning water and a tanning booster (gradual tan). Go and have a look at the opretty website and all the reviews. No streaking, no horrible smell, all smell absolutely amazing and long lasting 😁

ParisNoir · 23/04/2022 20:53

Coco and eve mousse- best tanner ive ever used and Ive tried them all from st tropez to sienna, to cheap ones

VanCleefArpels · 23/04/2022 20:55

Evolve gradual tan is the absolute bolleux- no smell, even colour. Sali Hughes recommends

EllaPaella · 23/04/2022 20:55

Bondi sands liquid gold. I do think with fake tan though it depends on you underlying skin tone. Same as with foundation. Some will be better for yellow undertones (warm) and some better for cool. I have warm undertones and the bondi sands is the best I've ever used.

Triceratrex · 23/04/2022 20:58

Sienna X mousse is fantastic. I used to use the "dark" tinted mousse and sleep in it and for me it still wasn't too dark (I'm extremely pale too)

Now I have DC I use the 1hr rapid tan mousse and leave it on for 1-2 hours depending on how long I have, and love the result. I am hopeless at tans but using their tanning mitt and the tinted mousse it's really easy to apply evenly and it's a lovely brown rather than orange.

Sienna X spray tan in their very palest shade/dilution/whatever it is (not necessarily the palest shade the salon has as some don't seem to use it) is also perfect, anything darker on me is too much
