So how does Jane Seymour look so good.

She's a stunningly beautiful woman who no doubt eats well and looks after herself and her skin.

She still looks incredible for 71.

So what might her real secret be? Not what she tells interviewers, but what she actually does. She seems to carefully say she wouldn't have surgery or fillers, but does that definition exclude Botox or other treatments?

Extremely jealous whatever the reason.

@Fluffycloudland77

She’s kept her weight down, and stable. Paris Hilton is the same.

It helps.

Paris Hilton is not old. Strange person to use in the same conversation as JS

@ineedsun, no idea what you think I am trying to say. I am just saying I don’t believe that anyone looks 20 years younger than their real age. I have never seen someone even celebs looking 20 years younger.

PollyIndia · 02/04/2022 16:30

I wish they would be honest about the work they had, not because I'd judge, I defo wouldn't, but would just make me feel a bit better about how amazing they look compared to mere mortals! And maybe help me plan my work as I get older Grin
I'm 46, and when people say they think I look younger, I defo think it's just because I'm small and toned and have good hair and don't fit their perception of 46 year old. Usually they are in their 20s. I suspect I definitely look my age (and am totally happy with that - I don't want to look 20 years older though!). Tbf I've spent lots in time in the sun and staying up for days dancing in my wild youth, so I don't deserve to look 20 years younger!

PollyIndia · 02/04/2022 16:31

And yes, Joan Collins definitely has. I wish people felt they could be honest about all this

ineedsun · 02/04/2022 16:50

Your posts are contradictory, in one you talk about not believing people, in the next you say that you’re not disbelieving people, you just think people have preconceived ideas of what 50 looks like, then the next one you go back to say to say that you don’t believe anyone looks 20 years younger than their age.

If you’re actually wanting to comment about social constructs of age, that’s really different from saying you won’t believe someone looks younger unless they share a photo.

See what I really want to know when people have had good interventions, it what they have had done & who did it.

We can all think of people who look daft, but I suspect there are more who we don't notice, but who have had work done and look good.

@HeathenPlayingHouse

I would have to agree with *@Changemaname1* about her hair/make-up (and the rest) creating a more youthful appearance. This picture was taken 2 years ago on a movie set and while she's still a beautiful woman, it just goes to show that while good genes make a difference, so does a hairstylist, makeup artist, flattering wardrobe, etc.
I think she looks really nice with the grey hair. Warm face

Ok maybe you’d think younger at a glance with the other hair but her eyes look great in other pic

The way her skin pulls on each side of her nose is indicative that she has had work done, Emily Blunt has the same tell, as do a myriad of other actresses. To my eye, it looks like at the very least, she’s had an eye lift, if not a half face lift. With regards to Botox, many state they have not had Botox because they have opted for another variant of the same thing, although one with a different name.

However all this said, she has aged well owing to good genes, looking after herself etc etc, and having a little light work to keep her looking great - good for her. I hope I age half as well.

She has clearly had some work done, but at the same time, much like Joan Crawford (and other stars of the studio system) uses the old-fashioned approach of tape and wigs to hold everything in place!

JS was once voted one of the most beautiful women in the world so that helps.
I think Linda Lusardi also looks fabulous, I really like longer hair on middle aged/older women.
