So how does Jane Seymour look so good.

She's a stunningly beautiful woman who no doubt eats well and looks after herself and her skin.

She still looks incredible for 71.

So what might her real secret be? Not what she tells interviewers, but what she actually does. She seems to carefully say she wouldn't have surgery or fillers, but does that definition exclude Botox or other treatments?

Extremely jealous whatever the reason.

Another who thinks that facially she looks her age. She has a youthful figure, and her long dyed hair and veneers create a youthful first impression.

valerianaofficiana · 02/04/2022 10:20

She has a fabulous bone structure, magnificent hair, and well looked-after skin.
It's all genes though, if you have the right kind of scaffolding, your face won't sag as easily.

Here we go again, women who have never (presumably) met someone calling them a liar or deluded because they can’t comprehend something that they’ve not experienced.

I think its people who are struggling with aging, but feel they can't admit it because they're above such superficiality. Perhaps it feels better to them to think we're all in the same boat, so there's strong denial of the possibility that some women naturally aren't; and even stronger resentment of those using procedures to 'cheat' their way to unfair advantage.

It’s exactly this ! She looks great I’m not disputing that , she’s a beautiful woman . But she has “markers” if that’s the right term of a much younger woman with the hair and skin figure etc

Changemaname1 · 02/04/2022 10:49

Oh and people can look younger than there years , I’m on the wrong side of 35 and still get asked for ID more often than not I have no reason to lie about it here 🤷🏻‍♀️

IAMGE · 02/04/2022 10:49

@PandoraP

No one looks 20+ years younger than they are. 10 years younger perhaps. I can only think of one person I have met in real life who genuinely looked 15 years younger than her age. It’s not about looks, it’s something in the eyes too which gives your age away I think.
My skin is good. I’m nearly 50 and I’m always identified as being 30-35. Bring short and petite helps I think

Why should someone have to compromise their own anonymity because you have decided to accuse people you don’t know of being liars based on nothing but your own pre conceived ideas? It’s a really strange phenomenon on this site that some people have this blind spot.

@MrsVeryTired

I keep getting ID'd at the supermarket, I'm 48 Grin on close looking there isn't a cat in hells chance I look under 25 but these people seem to think it at a quick glance (or not so quick as I load piles of shopping!)

There is a massive difference in how people age, clothes, hair, skin, figure all interplay.

I get ID’d in the supermarket too, I’m mid 40’s and look it. I think the IDing is more to do with the store employee following store policy than me looking under 25. Let’s not kid ourselves here Confused
PandoraP · 02/04/2022 11:23

Oh come on. I am not accusing anyone of being liars as such. People always tell me I look young too. I am 50. I don’t look young. I just look good for my age and people have pre conceived ideas of what 50 looks like.

If you’re trying to say what you suggest you are, it might be worth reflecting on the words and tone of your posts.

I've a friend just turning 60 this July, she looks phenomenal primarily good genes and good routine, but she's also over 6ft and slim, if I had to stereotype her style it would be that 'uniform' of skinnies, converse, blazer which people can associate with younger women (or at least younger than 60). She has always had a range of friends both older and younger, her partner is 15 years younger than her, so yes she can often pass for her 40's depending on the day, who she's with, what she's doing. But on another day she won't - different clothes, different circumstance, different group of people.

As a PP said, most people make a split judgement on the 'package' not a close inspection of skin!

CrotchetyQuaver · 02/04/2022 11:34

I would imagine HRT, good genes and she works damn hard to keep herself looking that good. Excellent dentist, hairdresser, personal trainer and beauty therapist too no doubt.

PlainJaneEyre · 02/04/2022 11:45

She's always been so slender which helps plus she has kept that same hairdo - interesting as some would say hair dates you. I imagine good genes - some women are just blessed that way. I always look at those women who pop out babies and look no different eg Abbie Clancie and the one that played Rosie on Corrie. I guess there's some Mummy Makeovers there. I read that Jane has had her eyes done and has Botox.

You wouldn't. You would just insist that the poster looked her age to you. There's no way people who insist all older women look their age ever deviate from it. It's too important to them to believe otherwise.
ukborn · 02/04/2022 11:47

Genes, and she's probably always taken care of herself in a business that depends on retaining youthful looks.
My mum always looked at least a decade younger than her age until the last few years of her life when her health deteriorated. She had always been slim, exercised and was very careful about the sun.

Bbq1 · 02/04/2022 11:47

@ElizabethinherGermanGarden

Plus she was stunning to start with. I take hope from Helen Mirren, who occasionally looked like a bag of spanners in her younger days and grew into her beautiful face once she hit forty or so.
I've never understood the fuss about Helen Mirren. She is averagely attractive but take away the pink hair, make up, designer clothes and cosmetic work and she is just a very average looking woman for her age. She looks very much her age which there is nothing wrong with but I don't understand all the talk about how "stunning' she is. I think Judi Dench is far more attractive. She doesn't try to deny her age and has aged naturally and gracefully.
HeathenPlayingHouse · 02/04/2022 11:48

I would have to agree with @Changemaname1 about her hair/make-up (and the rest) creating a more youthful appearance. This picture was taken 2 years ago on a movie set and while she's still a beautiful woman, it just goes to show that while good genes make a difference, so does a hairstylist, makeup artist, flattering wardrobe, etc.

So how does Jane Seymour look so good.

Wow! I mean I do know this but still...
HeathenPlayingHouse · 02/04/2022 12:08

@PlainJaneEyre I know, I didn't believe it was her at first!

Obviously she's had a make-under for her role, but it's amazing to see just how much difference each element makes.

OverByYer · 02/04/2022 12:48

Dame Joan Collins is now claiming never to have gone under the knife. Don't make me laugh!

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/04/2022 13:16

She’s kept her weight down, and stable. Paris Hilton is the same.

It helps.

Youvebeengonesolong · 02/04/2022 13:32

I do think keeping your weight stable is a great help.

I also think JS is a naturally beautiful woman.

But the other significant factor is American beauty care! More specifically NY beauty care.

The variety and level of treatments available there is insane! I used to work for someone who goes over there every year for treatments.

All major celebrities such as JS, Joan Collins, Trinny Woodall and anyone who needs "revamping" having found themselves in the public eye through becoming famous, Camilla being a prime example, nip over annually or twice a year for dental, skin and hair treatments.

ginghamstarfish · 02/04/2022 13:42

Saw something in the paper today, quote from an interview with her a few years back where she said she'd had her eyes done and something else... I find it hard to believe that most celebs haven't had loads of work, of course some of it better than others. Too bad they crow about being untouched, when it's documented in past interviews (or then and now photos clearly show it).
