Cargo pants.....will you?

Because honestly I'm kind of excited they're back and want some.

But.

Will I just look naff?

Was thinking with a tucked in white t shirt and converse?

I’ll love these but can never find a decent length one for Tall or a good fit without veering to the menswear section.

I must have missed ‘the memo’ because I didn’t know they were back 😮 Interestedly though, I have just bought some designed for hiking from Craghoppers, with Nosilife (mosquito repelling/killing) for a trip to Africa. They are so comfortable and I think they look good, so two birds, one stone 👍

They're back?? I bloody loved cargo pants and they suited me. Mind you, I was younger and much slimmer then so maybe I'll give them a miss this time around Angry

I had some in 2001 when my son was born and they were the most useful trousers. So many handy pockets.

Have a pair that I have been wearing on/off for more than 20 years. It's older than my teen son.

I have never stopped wearing them :P I usually wear with band T and hoody but i have a smart Mint velvet pair I will wear with a smart long sleeved top or shirt for work sometimes.

Yes for me as well. I think I've always had a pair (and i am not young).
I just bought these last month. I wear with a long sleeve t, or slim fitting shorter cardigan and tshirt.

Husband has always worn cargo pants, stuffing the pockets until they inevitably perish. He looks like a honey bee after it’s been out collecting pollen, hence why in our house cargo pants are called ‘nectar gatherers’.

I love a good pair (even though I’m short & stout like a teapot); invaluable when camping & hill walking. Which rarely happens these days due to vertebrae fracturing, stupid back grumble grumble, bah humbug etc.

DH lives in Craghoppers. He'll be chuffed to discover they are now fashionable!

I bloody knew I should have kept mine from years ago...... doesn't matter if they would now be 3 sizes too small. Damn.

@discoginsix Those silk Warehouse ones!! Had them in 3 colours, went travelling, lived in them until they fell apart. Most comfortable trousers ever.

Yes @PumpkinCrumble. The M and S ones I posted upthread are full length. I don't "do" cropped trousers either. I am 5'7" and my cargoes are a 12L and are a perfect length.

The M&S ones aren't.

I bought short length (I'm 5'3") and they're full length on me. So the standard are presumably full length for taller folks.

I’m intrigued…the last time I wore cargo pants I was 21 and my stomach was as flat as an ironing board. Crop top or fitted vest and cargos was my uniform. Two kids later and the cultivating of a very jelly belly - they are just not going to work I know it…

Fond memories of the combats I bought in camo from the local army place in 1997, and wore with a child’s Tellytubbies T-shirt to show off my mahoosive boobs at festivals.

Thought I was fat then. Would kill for that figure back now. At a similar time belly chains were in and I had one.
