While we carry out the heist, no one is to wear any of the scents mentioned on this thread, as any lingering smell at the crime scene could identify us.

frugalkitty · 11/02/2022 22:54

Well as the heist was my idea, I think I should be in charge of the booty Grin good to see some happy helpers chipping in, we'll have ourselves jail time a lovely trip to Italy organised in no time.

glue I'm sorry that your DD needs a hospice, but thanks for the info, I didn't know that before.

justasking111 · 11/02/2022 22:56

I've got a mini cooper, can take three passengers , there's no room in the boot for more 🤣🤣

You need to keep some room for the booty we've nicked.

@gluenotsoup - excellent point about children's hospices, and much love to you and your daughter 🌷

Kate is reading the CBeebies bedtime story at 6.50pm today. My DC considers CBeebies far to juvenile for an elderly 7yo so I doubt I'll be watching!

gluenotsoup · 13/02/2022 11:07

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, I’m glad nobody minded me bringing it up, it’s just sometimes things like that are off the radar, so it’s worthwhile to do a bit of promoting. Paradyning- it sounds like your dc is a hospice user too, sending love your way.
The Penhaligon scents do sound lovely, I must try to go and have a smell and put one on my wish list. Apparently Kate wore White Gardenia Petals and Meghan something by Floris on their wedding day.
So… it sounds as though the heist is pretty much sorted😂. I will volunteer to be a decoy. I will go and dig out my trusty Spanx, my most elegant-yet-alluring dress and some fabulous shoes, surgically remove my cosy hoody and socks and get busy with the make-up. I might be some time. 😂👍🏼

A couple of retrospectives as its twenty years since Princess Margaret died. She really was incredibly stylish.

Thanks for that, @Koshnique. Margaret definitely had style, and her wedding dress and tiara are strong favourites on here! I also liked the article about QEQM's coronation crown (very timely) with the stunning, if controversial Koh-i-Noor diamond. Amazing.

Hey @gluenotsoup - this is the one time hoodies and balaclavas are a good look!Grin

Margaret fascinates me. Seemingly lifelong unhappiness and dissatisfaction, but oh so stylish as a young woman.

KillingMeDeftly · 13/02/2022 23:20

I think Margaret just didn't have enough to do. Someone on these threads once said that had she been born 100 years earlier then she would've been married off to a king or grand duke and would've been perfect in the role. Instead she was born too late and had to play second fiddle to her sister all her life.

AdaColeman · 14/02/2022 01:02

Kate & Wills are off on a twelve day tour to the Caribbean next month. They will visit the Bahamas, Jamaica & Belize, to wave the flag and celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
So let’s hope we get some colourful vibrant clothes to brighten up our gloomy late winter days.

SenecaFallsRedux · 14/02/2022 02:38

I also think Margaret had an intellect that had never been developed. She was brought up with little education and expected to get by on her position, her beauty, and her charm. And as all of those things faded, she didn't seem to have the inner resources to be happy and fulfilled.

Maireas · 14/02/2022 19:51

Good points about Margaret, Seneca.
I also think that she could have done with more genuine friends and fewer sycophants. People that would have been kind, but taken less nonsense.

I agree and I think she tried this with the Snowdon/party group and the Mustique friends, but ultimately as pp's said, no real life purpose and too much entitlement left her unhappy and not really fitting in anywhere.
SenecaFallsRedux · 14/02/2022 21:42

Harry and Eugenie were at the Super Bowl. No big fashion news, but they both look appropriately casual.

I'm not sure the royals were that big on educating women until fairly recently. Even Princess Anne didn't go to university, although Charles and Edward did. And she's the same age as my MiL who did go!
KillingMeDeftly · 14/02/2022 22:00

Nice to see Harry and Eugenie out together. Apparently she and Meghan knew each other before he came on the scene.

Here's Leti visiting a Madrid hospital. Felipe has covid, but she says he's ok.
I'm not sure about this dress, close up it's lovely, but the whole look just seems a bit drab to me.

Wonder what the tabloids made of that. Harry is quite obviously still friends with at least some of the family 😂
gluenotsoup · 15/02/2022 08:53

I quite like Leti’s dress! It is a more subdued colour, but I like the shape of it and the pattern.

KillingMeDeftly · 15/02/2022 09:07

@gingercat02 The Mail couldn't help themselves. There was an article about Harry and Eugenie which stated that he "came under fire" last week for ignoring the Queen's statement about Camilla becoming Queen Consort. I'm not sure what they were expecting him to do about it!
