Royal style continues!
Thanks to Deftly for the thread title. Let's hope there's more Gucci and Chanel.....fewer coat dresses..,.

@whataboutbob

I read that Charles wears Eau d’Hadrien. Camilla is a game old bird and would wear Opium if Charles found it arousing. The queen wears something by Penhaligon. Anne wears a no frills fragrance from Marks and Spencer’s and Zara Tindall wears anything with Billionaire in the name. Andrew wears Brut.
Grin I had a google last night and reports are different but Creed and Penhaligons Bleinhem Bouquet were mentioned for Charles. I imagine Anne smells clean and functional - a bit Palmolive or Imperial Leather-y Smile Camilla looks better and better with age but is it my phone or does Charles look alarmingly redlipsticked and a bit Liberace there?
Maireas · 10/02/2022 21:39

I thought Charles looked like he'd been testing out the old Max Factor. Most odd.

He looks ancient these days but Camilla's changed very little in 20 years.

whataboutbob · 10/02/2022 22:16

Yes he looks like he’s got a bad case of rosacea. Too much hiking outdoors in all weathers?

CheeseMuffin · 10/02/2022 22:21

Or too much port indoors...

StartupRepair · 11/02/2022 02:35

I love Blenheim Bouquet. It was Churchill's cologne, apparently. Someone gave me a tester and I was quite smitten.

gluenotsoup · 11/02/2022 09:52

I’ve never actually smelled any of the Penhaligon fragrances, I must try to to see if they are all they are cracked up to be.
Meanwhile, Sophie has been out and about supporting the very worthwhile Shooting Star Children’s Hospice. She looks nice, I like the grill of the blouse and especially the bright pink nails.
I’m going to take a quick moment to ask everyone to remember and spread the word that the vast majority of children’s hospices- not that there are many- are charity supported only, no official funding and are struggling post pandemic due to the reduction in charitable donations. My daughter attends one, it was the only children’s hospice in the UK to stay open during the pandemic. They all really need support as do the families that rely on them who often struggle at the best of times.
Ok. Back to style and beauty. 😊

Frill not grill…

Wholeheartedly agree!!! We would be lost without the support we get from ours (& why I love Cams so much)
Eaumyword · 11/02/2022 13:06

I also agree, I love it when the small and often not 'fashionable' charities/causes are represented.

I used to wear Penhaligons all the time. They did a scent called Violetta, which I adored - a warm powdery soft violet scent.
I also loved Elizabethan Rose and Orange Blossom.
I don't know about the newer scents they do, but they are v expensive!

justasking111 · 11/02/2022 13:19

DS had a penhaligon scent for Xmas, special treat he smelled it a few years ago. He was over the moon.

The tragedy of lord George it's called

Eaumyword · 11/02/2022 15:33

They are quite eccentric names aren't they! Interesting to hear the positive feedback.

Sophie looks great and I'm envious of her lovely nails!

Local charities are the best ♥️

Maireas · 11/02/2022 16:17

Sophie's looking good.
Nice jacket.

Remembering their royal links, was Penhaligon's Juniper Sling inspired by Princess Margaret?

KillingMeDeftly · 11/02/2022 16:36

Do they also sell Dubonnet with a Twist, inspired by the Queen Mum?

gluenotsoup · 11/02/2022 16:39

They are fabulous names, it puts F&B to shame 😂

Justkeeppedaling · 11/02/2022 18:44

Who'd be a good getaway driver. I'm not very good with parallel parking.

StartupRepair · 11/02/2022 20:09

I love Juniper Sling. Eke out my bottle and wear it on tough work days when I want to feel sharp.

Eaumyword · 11/02/2022 21:16

I'm feeling lazy so not going to volunteer to heist help. But, I am an excellent hider of things so could stash the haul.
Only thing is...you'd have to trust me with all those diamonds, wahaha.

Maireas · 11/02/2022 21:26

I think this could be our downfall, @Eaumyword. We'd all be tempted to run off with the stash.

@gluenotsoup I wear Quercus by Penhaligon.
Love it.
Also Jermyn Street perfumery used to supply the Royals.
Floris of Jermyn Street is gorgeous.
