WWW's six week (well, alright then, 2 week) 10yy thread for confessing what lovely food you've eaten and booze you've drunk

So, please post your tales of seasonal excess and gorgeous food here! I will start a new proper 10yy in the New Year. Welcome everyone.

I had duck on Christmas day and have been thoroughly enjoying

duck and cranberry sauce sandwiches
Cambozola with cranberry
dolcelatte with etc
brie with cranbry
toast with butter
Champagne

It's most enjoyable! So, confess here for our delectation and then we can back to bootcamp in January 08 for those who want to!

Happy Christmas everyone!

stuffing truffles (choccys), heroes, crisps, cream& Xmas pudding, roasties, takeaways in like theres no tomorrow

then in a bad mood when size 14's don't fasten up

suzywong · 01/01/2008 09:05

well you'll probably be seeing that pork pie again sometime this evening, WWW. Very reduced pork pies? Why do you think that is?

Hello

on the theme of pork I need to confess all kinds of charcuterie plus slow roast shoulders with mole sauce, lots of trough of all types though not much chocolate and crisps. But I guess rhubarb and custard trifle counts as lard. Booze. Yes. Although dh has asked me to cut down on drinking so I tipped the rest of the gin away (Tanquery no less, I must love dh)

good luck to you

WideWebWitch · 01/01/2008 09:12

Oi Wong, it wasn't out of date y'know. Nice to see you, good luck to you too

hello all - Happy New Year!

Still lots of wine and too much not-good-for-you-food but we did go to the beach today in full Aussie on the beach mode (although I was obviously British as painfully pasty) so high on happiness. Just waiting to run out of wine so I can get back on the wagon.

Happy New Year Everyone

I was forced to stay up til midnight as the 2 kids wanted to stay up and see the new yr in. I was shocked that even the 6 yr old made it.

Roast lamb didn't happen as neither dh nor myself could be bothered to cook it.

So roast lamb today.

but no more booze - I am on the wagon

Happy new year, everyone!

Hope you had a good evening. I am looking forward to a bit of bootcamp. My once loose jeans are now tight with not so much a muffin as a loaf spilling over the top. Attractive it aint. Just got to finish the dolcelatte before I start.

Off the wagon too. Am up at 6 for the 6.50 bus. Grim central. Hope it's not too cold.

See you tomorrow. Must buy a moron tom as DH failed to get one for my christmas present....

carmenelectra · 01/01/2008 21:43

blimey WWW, that little feast feast you have had today sounds like a medieval banquet or summat! You sound dead posh .

I had to crack my champers open this a.m for brekky as i was annoyed at myself for not opening last night(dp said it was too late to start bothering opening champagne)and we are having the rest now (just pretend tonight is NYE)

aLSO today went out for dinner in cosy pub. Had buffalo mozzarella salad, half bottle wine and lemon parfait and shortbread.

Normal food tomorrow.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 01/01/2008 22:15

Last night mulled wine was taken and some hot canapes from Waitrose. Today roast beef for lunch and sandwiches & cake for tea.

Water and early nights have gone awol. No exercise today whatsoever. But I'm still not in maternity clothes, hahahaha

WideWebWitch · 01/01/2008 22:16

I am the size of a medieval banquet, tis true

No booze tonight, beef and horseradish sandwich for supper and about to go to sleep. I def haven't been drinking enough water while not at work.

Hello, today:

100g granola
Walking a bit on commute
lots of water
cherries
grapes
lychees
3 quails eggs and celery salt
smoked salmon sandwich
apple
apple and sultana bar (100cal)
packet Wotsits (100cal)
half a sloppy Guiseppe pizza
salad with lettuce, beetroot, tomatoes, cucumber, red pepper, avocado, quails eggs, and no dressing, just balsamic vinegar
no wine
and er, some Revels, ruining an otherwise fairly good day

getting up at 5.45 was horrible, I fell asleep on the train on the way home, thank goodness woke up for my stop. Could have been nasty.
