What are some lovely smelling but affordable body washes?

I need to stock up on some shower gels but I need to stay cheap - I've spent too much last year on luxurious and expensive body washes. What are some of your favourites but at a more cheap, affordable price?

I like the Radox one with mandarin and lemongrass.

Seconding Savon de Marseille too.

ouch321 · 14/01/2022 18:25

Nivea Cashmere- might be a bit too cheap for you at just one pound

evtheria · 14/01/2022 19:42

Cheapest:
Another vote for the Nivea Clay ones, which you can usually find in poundshops or Quality Save.
Mid: Lush soap bars (I like Unlucky for Dirt) or random Italian/French ones from TKMaxx (£4-6 a big bar)

palmolive almond and milk shower gel smells lovely

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 14/01/2022 20:18

Sainsbury's do some fabulous bars of soap. They're around £2.50 and last absolutely ages!

Pinkypie86 · 15/01/2022 05:04

I picked up a gorgeous bar of Lavender and Manuka Honey soap in TK maxx today. For £3. Also, I love Sukin. Big pump bottles for about 6 quid.

NotTheGrinchAgain · 15/01/2022 05:16

I agree with buying a finely milled soap bar. Turn the shower off and lather up. Heaven.

Waitrose own brand ginger and clementine is lovely. It’s pretty cheap and often on offer. Smells a lot more expensive than it is.

I love this one!
KiloWhat · 15/01/2022 08:09

Sanctuary lily and something. It's pink. I buy it when it's 3 for 2.

Cheaper still, imperial leather do some nice ones

MangoLipstick · 15/01/2022 08:32

The Radox Eucalyptus and citrus oil shower gel smells amazing , very fresh and tangy.

Also love the Dove Deeply Moisturising body wash, smells just like the soap but more moisturising on the skin. My skin feels super soft after I’ve used that.

Both cheap, the Radox was £1 and the Dove one less then £3.00.

nanbread · 15/01/2022 10:43

I use soap now for environmental reasons, usually Friendly soap, but Waitrose Pink Grapefruit shower gel is 90p and smells divine (if you like citrus scents).

SiriusTheCatStar · 15/01/2022 10:47

Another vote for Radox Eucalyptus and Citrus Oil. First started using it years ago. I like trying out expensive shower gels as a cheaper alternative to perfumes, but keep going back to the Radox. It is a very uplifting scent.

I love grapefruit scents and usually buy BS Pink Grapefruit . I tried the Waitrose one , it was like a sweet jelly !
I'll buy the BS in the re-useable metal when I;m in next ( already got the Ginger Shampo/Conditioner in metal bottles)

Original Souse is £1 - lemon/lime/rasperberry&rhubarb

I bought a load of Molton Brown on QVC , out of all the scents there wasn't one either DH or I didn't like .

@WrinklesShminkles

Nesti Dante large soaps smell gorgeous, don't dry my skin and last about 6 weeks with daily use in the shower. So great value for about £5.
Thinking of trying these as my skin is dry and is sensitive to a lot of soaps. What fragrances would you recommend?
freeandfierce · 15/01/2022 11:17

I'm a fenjal fan, usually on offer in Boots. They do a cream body wash and a mousse one. I know it's old fashioned (my mum used to use it) but I love the clean, fresh scent and the oil doesn't affect my sensitive, dry skin. They do a range of deodorant/bath soak etc. I like the body spray to freshen up. Always get positive comments.

WrinklesShminkles · 15/01/2022 13:35

@JamieFrasersSassenach There are so many good ones! There's a range of single scent ones which have Iris, Poppy, Lavender and the very popular Cypress - all lovely IMO. The range named after cities is good too - I like Pisa and Rome, also Florence. Also like the floral mixes which include Wisteria and Peony ones.
I buy a lot from Escentual.com who have a wide selection of these - I think they might still be doing a 20% off code at the moment - Escentual20 if they are.

@WrinklesShminkles wow - thank you - I'll head over to that website and take a look Smile

Aldi Hotel collection is lovely. They do an Amber and bergamot one which is really nice.

cherryonthecakes · 15/01/2022 16:13

Think Aldi Hotel collection is White Company dupe

pizzicato · 15/01/2022 16:56

I kid you not, Baylis and Harding Goodness body wash. Oud, cedar and amber with organic extracts of oregano and lemon. A huge 500ml bottle for £4 in most supermarkets (or £3 on offer at times)

JMAngel1 · 15/01/2022 18:45

@Grapesoda7
Yes! That's my Paradise one. it's a White Company Seychelles dupe - gorgeous.

jessicaleex · 15/01/2022 19:54

treacle moon, lovely scent that actually lasts, decent sized bottle, not too harsh on skin and £1.90 from asda a bottle Smile

Omicrone · 15/01/2022 19:57

Radix Pink Grapefruit - smells gorgeous and really strong.

Omicrone · 15/01/2022 19:57
