What are some lovely smelling but affordable body washes?

I need to stock up on some shower gels but I need to stay cheap - I've spent too much last year on luxurious and expensive body washes. What are some of your favourites but at a more cheap, affordable price?

Buy nice soap instead. Lasts a lot longer

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/01/2022 22:55

I really like the Faith in Nature lavender and geranium one, which is about £5 in Boots, or cheaper on Amazon. It comes in lots of flavours if you don’t fancy that one. I used to love Korres shower gel but it is harder to get hold of these days.

Beauty Pie, Super Healthy skin body wash is under a tenner and comes in a massive bottle.

For cheap as chips try Nivea. Their pink clay body wash is really nice. Always a few different Nivea ones in Home Bargains for about a quid.

Aldi do gorgeous dupes of the White Company shower gels - Paradise is my morning treat.

Bells3032 · 14/01/2022 05:37

I love the imperial leather sweets range.

LadyNell · 14/01/2022 06:53

Pears liquid soap body was it cone in a big pump bottle for 3 pounds I get it in Sainsburys lasts a while, not great is the non eco friendly bottle though but I think they may do refills

HelloDulling · 14/01/2022 07:21

& Other Stories do lovely ones. My fave is Arabesque Wood. I think it’s £5.

Seconded. Love this smell.

I'd go for a really nice bar soap instead. Faith In Nature do some lovely ones which are eco friendly and cruelty free. About £4 I think. Last ages.

WrinklesShminkles · 14/01/2022 10:00

Nesti Dante large soaps smell gorgeous, don't dry my skin and last about 6 weeks with daily use in the shower. So great value for about £5.

HumunaHey · 14/01/2022 10:03

Another vote for Nivea Clay Fresh. The ginger and basil one smells lovely.

FrazzledY9Parent · 14/01/2022 10:09

Love the Badedas shower gel - it's often on offer for £2.

SprayedWithDettol · 14/01/2022 10:10

Soap. It’s much better for the environment and more cost effective.

altforvarmt · 14/01/2022 10:13

Imperial Leather shower gels - the Fijian Waterfall and Moroccan Sunset ones smell really lovely. And they're only £1.

Gonnagetgoing · 14/01/2022 10:22

Radox Donut Mind I I do - smells of vanilla/chocolate-ish - find it in Superdrug.

Sanctuary shower oil/gel, Aldi or Lidl do a mango one which is very similar to the Original Source one.

nicesausages · 14/01/2022 14:31

Body Shop refillable- environmentally friendly too. My favourite is pink grapefruit

NearlyAHoarder · 14/01/2022 14:33

i really like the radox pink grapefruit one. Have tried loads of grapefruit shower washes. Radox v reasonably priced and smells very grapefruity.

ReadySteadyTwins · 14/01/2022 14:35

Yes to Radox pink grapefruit, and also, use the Waitrose Basil and Lime handwash as showergel. It's gorgeous.

Longcovid21 · 14/01/2022 14:37

Faith in nature sage. Selling in b and M for a pound!

Doyourememberthetime · 14/01/2022 14:40

Definitely do this OP. Some really fancy ones for under a tenner sometimes. Also check out the giant bars of triple milled French and Italian soaps for £2 to £5. Heaven.

You can also buy this in 5litre containers. It's a bigger initial outlay (obviously!) but lasts for ages and obviously better for the environment. I hope to take our empty one to the local refill shop to be refilled (with another brand probably, as I don't think they stock FiN) - so even less plastic.
DidgeDoolittle · 14/01/2022 18:13

Savon de Marseille soaps are lovely. They last ages, smell gorgeous and don't dry out your skin. Available online or TK Maxx often have them.
