Any recommendations? Happy to go into a shop or buy online. I like thick black tights (100 denier or similar) and like them to be non-shiny! UK size 20 with a tummy so I prefer them high waisted 😊

I have short legs /round tummy /long body and could never find any tights to each high enough over tummy. I thought I’d try these before paying out for Snag. And I have to say they’re fabulous. I think they were about £6 but they wash and wear really well.

PS. I’m a size 20 too and the pretty polly ones have a back (or front) panel in them so plenty of room

Another vote for Snags. They fit! I’ve spent £££ on others which don’t! In the long run Snags are good value as they fit, they’re wearable and wash well, just remember not to tumble them.

I buy snag but the nude ones are awful I get one wear out of them and they either ladder or I end up with holes in them The black are awesome Never tried the coloured ones I refuse to pay £6+ for one wear so back to the hunt for nude tights that don’t ladder,don’t sit 3 inches from my gusset or are so orange I look like a satsuma

I’ve given up on nude tights unless absolutely necessary. Never so happy as when I can hung black opaque back on. Bloody summer!

Guys, thanks for all the recommendations 😊 can I ask...has anyone ordered from Snag recently? I ordered on the 29th at lunchtime using next day delivery after all your feedback hoping to get them before new year and so far we have nothing 👎🏼

My last Snag order took 3 weeks. When I chased it they said they had issues with supply chain. But hadn't bothered to update me until I chased. Really terrible service. I got that people are having problems with c19 but updating the people who literally pay your bills isn't too much to ask.

Greys - ordering last weds pm hasn’t given them much time at all - plus sorting offices are probably covid-riddled.

@RunningInTheWind I do appreciate that things are busy at the moment 😊 I myself work in retail and deal with worldwide shipping as part of my job so I 100% get that things can be delayed 😊 but when I ordered there was the option of standard delivery or to pay extra for tracked next day delivery which they shouldn’t really be offering if it’s nothing of the sort 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve not tried Snag. At size 20 I think Evans and simply be will be to big as I think they fit larger all over women especially really chunky thighs. As I’ve come down in size I found Boots tights fit well and last for lots of wears and washes.

I see Snag don't do 40 denier. They don't seem to do navy in the 50 ...

am i looking at the same website as all of you?

I like matte 40 denier tights in black, navy and chocolate brown. Next used to do exactly these but they've gone shiny recently :(

I've just ordered some footless tights from Snag, anybody worn these? I'm a 6ft egg on legs basically and find things that fit over my huge tummy are too baggy on my slimmish ankles, leggings are terrible for this! I'm hoping that footless tights might still have the look but feel more like leggings as the feet part bother me!

They do 50 in navy as I ordered some pre Christmas - they may just be out of stock

Just came on here to say not matalan. I’m an 16-18 and their XL 16-20 wouldn’t do over my thighs. They were tiny. I’ve heard good things about songs tights like a lot of other have said.

No I shop in Tesco, tried SumplyBe didn't like it & are Evans still actually in business? Perhaps all the recommendations for Snag are because they are actually the only plus size ones that fit well

I love Snag tights they're the only ones I've found that fit properly. They're more expensive but I've found worth it because they don't ladder the way others do.

I wear Snag footless tights @Mermaidwaves , mostly because I hate my toes all scrunched up in tights and so that I can wear my thick socks in my boots.

I find them really comfortable but I’m only 5’ 4” so a different shape to you.

well, an egg on pretty short legs but I have the same issue regarding the slimish ankles! I like a legging or skinny jeans to be very fitted at the ankles. Love Leggings fit me really well! I bought the maternity ones at 10 weeks pregnant, wore them all through my pregnancy and they still fit me really well now 👍🏻 Haven’t tried their normal range but I like my leggings super high waisted anyway so I’m happy just wearing the maternity ones! Also have some Matalan jeggings that are well fitted at the ankle - although they do get a slight baggy knee after one wear which is another pet hate of mine 😬🤣
