Well, as the complete antithesis to all the ‘mean girl’ comments on the other thread, I picked my youngest DD up from forest school today and on the way home, my girls and I encountered a very confused and very elderly lady (and I use the word ‘lady’ advisedly as she was immaculately dressed in a scarlet, belted coat). We managed to piece together her ID from her purse and bag and discovered she’d got lost from her sheltered accommodation nearby. We walked her home and on her return, the Scarlet Lady (as she will be henceforth known) told the warden of her accommodation that she’d been rescued by a very nice Land Girl! (I was wearing my trusty cord Gabis, a Toast Fair Isle sweater and my Fracap Explorer boots.) High praise indeed!
@Bideshi, please come and join us and please don’t worry about silly Mean Girl comments; we’re a great source of mutual support and kindness on these threads. Even though the talk is of clothes, the subtext is of women of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and beliefs basically treating each other with respect and encouragement.
