80’s pixie boots

I’m having an 80’s thing at the moment and was thinking about the pixie boots I used to wear, with leg warmers.
Has anyone seen anything similar ?

Ooh we called them tucca boots. Me and my BFF had matching cerise ones with a matching jacket, umbrella and huge plastic bangles from Razzle Dazzle circa 1983.
No idea about now. Maybe slouch or something like that

Shedmistress · 17/12/2021 22:14

I do love me a pixie boot. With skin tight jeans.

LadyWithLapdog · 18/12/2021 08:44

Yes, suede pixie boots and Kim Wilde style haircut. I might have got the eras mixed, but that's how I remember it.

Cheerbear24 · 18/12/2021 11:18

I had a pair of pixie boots in electric blue in 1985, I was 9 and thought I was the bees knees in them. I think slouchy boots is a fair description- although I’ve not seen any.

Sort of, they had more material on top which was like a ‘slouch’ boot.

oh yes Grin

tucker boots ..'cos you could tuck your skinny jeans in
bit more slouchy leg than chelsea boots and I think a rubber sole

80s fashion was the best , if only I had my 80s body to go with it

Blue mascara and gold/bronze eyeshadow anyone ? Grin

Love an 80's slouchy boot. Whether it's ankle pixie style or mid-calf slouch, Isabel Marant does the absolute best, IMO. Zara usually has good high street copies. I bought grey suede pixie boots from Topshop 10 years ago and finally treated myself to the IM version in September this year. I've worn them so much - they go with just about everything I own.

GettingStuffed · 18/12/2021 18:41

It's weird but none of those look like the pixie boots we used to wear, they were pastel fabric and although slouchy folded over. Mine were pastel blue

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/12/2021 18:59

Mine were black and no zips .
Only my Mother would've worn zipped ankle boots (most likely Damart)

I loved my pixie boots. I actually felt trendy for the first time. Mine were black. Very slouchy. Slightly pointed toe.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 18/12/2021 19:01

Black suede with burgundy leg warmers. Loved them.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 18/12/2021 19:03

Some of them had tassels in. Like the turn over bit was fringed.

Always work with a side parted wedge haircut l remember .

WilliamofBaskerville · 18/12/2021 19:04

Loved my pixie boots! They were maroon suede, slouchy with a pointed toe. My eight year old self was living her best life Grin.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 18/12/2021 19:07

Yes suede, I forgot to mention that. No zips they sort of pulled wriggled on.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 18/12/2021 19:09

I remember a thing for loafers too.

Tillymintpolo · 18/12/2021 19:09

Mine had tassels, slouchy with a pointed toe. I thought I was ace wearing them with stone washed jeans and a reversible jumper with Dalmatians on it

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 18/12/2021 19:17

No fringes or tassels on mine.

soyabean · 18/12/2021 19:31

Olive green with tassels for me. I loved them

Chunkymenrock · 18/12/2021 19:40

Oh yes! Freeman, Hardy and Willis specials. Mine were mushroom coloured. Really loved them.

Quickchangeartiste · 18/12/2021 19:41

Oh god, I loved my red suede pixie boots. I have ridiculously skinny ankle, and the leg warmers ( navy or black) just filled that space.
God I miss being 19….

RaskolnikovsIgloo · 18/12/2021 19:50

I think mine were like this.

OMG. I forgot all about Razzle Dazzle. Loved that shop. I also called them tukka boots. I wore them with jeans and sparkly leggings. I had a herringbone coat out of Clockhouse and a big brimmed hat, scarf and fingerless gloves. That whole outfit has just made me smile. I thought I was cutting edge Grin
