Dry aging skin. I’m not bothered at the price at this stage I just want some kind of coverage that’s not too thin. I’ve tried Terry the one in the jar was ok but the one in the bottle with the dropper was a total waste of money. Mac is too claggy twice I’ve been persuaded to buy the compacts which are so dry. I’ve tried various cheapo ones and nothing seems to give me a flawless look😃

I find bare minerals really good for my tired looking skin. Use the primer first.

Zeldaaa

‘The new Lisa Eldridge seamless foundation. Such a great shade range’

This is the one for me too. It works for light coverage but you can build it up too and it looks like skin rather than make up.

MintyGreenDream · 04/12/2021 11:22

Armani luminous touch
@Sexnotgender please could you share a link? What do you do with it? Actually put the product onto the sponge and dap on the face? Or just dap skin after applying product to face?
This is the original which is pretty spendy. The real techniques one is pretty good too though and much cheaper so maybe a good starting point to try.

You wet the sponge and then squeeze out the water.
I put product directly onto the sponge. I use about a pea size amount for my face. I dot the product onto cheeks and forehead and then bounce the sponge to distribute the product over my whole face.

Super close up of my face😂 this is with the Clinique even better glow. Gives a very even finish.
I’m nearly 40 so pretty happy that my skin still looks ok.

Nice!!!!

Cakemonger · 04/12/2021 13:28

The texture of the new Lisa Eldridge foundation is amazing but I couldn't find a good colour match for me - no very pale yellow shades. Gutted!

User1055 · 04/12/2021 14:38

What shade do you use please @Sexnotgender ?

Sexnotgender · 04/12/2021 14:41

That’s Ivory- number 28.

Sexnotgender · 04/12/2021 14:42

I do have a little bronzer on over it.

Deathraystare · 04/12/2021 14:58

Rather pleased with Illamasqua. Also love Laura Geller Balance and Glow. It is a baked powder so easy to blend in and gives you a glow! She also does a cream foundation which is very nice! I get LG from QVC so if I did not like anything I could return it and be refunded but very happy with what I have bought!

You can also get Estee Lauder and Elizabeth Arden as well as Bobbi Brown from QVC so if you are wanting to try a new foundation perhaps go down the QVC route then if it does not work for you you will get a refund. I have also liked Doll 10 and Mally from them in the past.

User1055 · 04/12/2021 15:45

Thank you, @Sexnotgender, it looks the perfect shade for me, so off to search now.

redferrari · 04/12/2021 16:37

Another vote for the Clinique even better one. It is fab.

Ginqueen1 · 04/12/2021 19:38

@Littleguggi

I've said it before but I love Pat Mcgrath, expensive, but feels like skin on skin!
I agree I love Pat McGrath foundation and concealer I have got lots of compliments since I start using it. Also I started to use Biologique recherche P50 on my skin and it has transformed it I would definitely recommend it
KimmyKimdoo · 04/12/2021 22:12

@Sexnotgender thank so much!!

Polmuggle · 04/12/2021 22:18

Anyone know there's shades in Estée Lauder and Armani and able to share? Now that double wear fresh has been discontinued I'm dying to try luscious silk but can't get to a counter.

It's practically the only brand not on the findation shade website!

I alternate 2C2 pale almond and 2N2 Buff with EL.

supercatlady · 04/12/2021 22:20

I use Phoera - cheap as chips, good coverage, lasts well

CouncilHousedAndViolentBaby · 04/12/2021 22:56

Maybelline superstay full coverage foundation

HanSB · 04/12/2021 22:59

Hourglass stick foundation, great coverage and creamy texture for dry skin. It smooths over and all fine lines disappear - magic! I use a beauty blender sponge to buff it on and I think the sponge is brilliant. Try one of those with whatever you are currently using first to see if it makes a difference

DontTellThemYourNamePike · 04/12/2021 23:31

I'm 54 and use Revlon Colorstay in the oily/combination skin formula. My skin is normal, just leaning very slightly towards oily in places. They have one for dry/normal skin which would probably suit you better. I haven't found anything better for me and it really stays put all day.

ellyeth · 04/12/2021 23:54

I've tried all sorts of foundations, including quite expensive ones like Chanel and Bobbi Brown. But I find Rimmel Match Perfection to be the best - for my skin anyway. I use Smashbox original primer.

nanbread · 05/12/2021 01:08

Tried this tonight with an old foundation I'd written off and it worked so well! Thank you.

Sexnotgender · 05/12/2021 07:17

You’re welcome @nanbread Smile

Eggbuttie · 05/12/2021 07:21

Body shop fresh nude is amazing. Medium coverage, dewy and not at all orange

somethinginthewater · 05/12/2021 08:20

Erborian. Covers everything without looking too made up.
