Dry aging skin. I’m not bothered at the price at this stage I just want some kind of coverage that’s not too thin. I’ve tried Terry the one in the jar was ok but the one in the bottle with the dropper was a total waste of money. Mac is too claggy twice I’ve been persuaded to buy the compacts which are so dry. I’ve tried various cheapo ones and nothing seems to give me a flawless look😃

I've said it before but I love Pat Mcgrath, expensive, but feels like skin on skin!

Cherryana · 02/12/2021 20:33

Trinny London

Today some teenagers in class said I looked 27 and I am 43!
I think its my BFF De-stress!

nanbread · 02/12/2021 20:44

No7 BB Cream. Now I'm older heavier foundations often look awful. This and concealer gives a better finish. The colour isn't quite right but the formula is amazing.

BoysBagsShoes · 02/12/2021 22:25

Have you tried buffing on a foundation that you already have? I use Estée Lauder DW and if I don’t buff it it looks far too thick and cakey. Great when I do though!

Avarua · 02/12/2021 22:27

I'd switch over to a Cc cream.

I like Clarins Cc cream with SPF

Sodoi · 02/12/2021 22:35

Wearing Monica Blunder foundation for the first time today. Perfection! You can’t tell that you are wearing foundation, it just looks like your skin but better. Use fingers to apply it and be well moisturised.

LSLLM · 02/12/2021 22:38

I find Estée Lauder DW is fine if I use a damp
Sponge

buddy79 · 02/12/2021 22:40

Ere Perez oat milk is my fave but I havent tried that many. It’s very light probably more like a cc cream. I used bare minerals for years but as I’ve got older it’s too drying. This one is calming amd moisturising and dewy and stays on!

IsoIsobaby20 · 02/12/2021 22:55

Chanel lumiere is amazing for my 45 year old skin.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 02/12/2021 22:59

Shiseido syncro skin

NoMoreTractors · 02/12/2021 23:05

At the moment I use Smashbox Hydrawear which is good but for everyday wear I find tinted moisturiser more forgiving and save foundation for nights out. The Laura Mercier one is lovely. The trick I find is a good primer, I use a hydrating Laura Mercier one, the benefit porefessional, then Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter before your base. And a setting spray.

Schoolchoicesucks · 02/12/2021 23:06

Erborian here too. Very light finish, makes skin look like skin but better.
I have to blot during the day and use the crayon concealer to retouch - but have to with anything due to oily skin.
Not a fan of heavy foundations so this works well for me.

curiouscat123 · 02/12/2021 23:07

Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue - it's transformed my make up routine and skin. It has medium to full coverage but it goes on like a moisturiser and it has spf 45. I LOVE IT! This is great for day to day wear.

And then for full coverage, Estee Lauder Double Wear.

Primer can make a big difference too. I use Urban Decay All Nighter.

JustLikea · 03/12/2021 11:32

I always go back to Lancôme Teint Miracle but also like Clarins everlasting

Bettybantz · 03/12/2021 11:34

It’s a cheapie, but I haven’t found anything better (for me) than Rimmel Wake Me Up. It gives me a nice dewy look. I often find foundations too dry or powdery.

LoveLabradors · 03/12/2021 11:36

Erborian BB cream is wonderful. Tried so many - I do use IT cc Matt cream too which is good. Erborian just makes my skin look great and I don’t have great skin! I’m not as keen on their CC cream though.

LoveLabradors · 03/12/2021 11:36

Meant to say the shade range is not great though but luckily for me the Dore shade is perfect.

Hummingbirdcake · 03/12/2021 11:39

Lily Lolo powder foundation applied very sparingly and blend, blend, blend. Not chalky even if you have dry skin. I have had so many compliments with this. They do little tester pots too.

MsAnnFrope · 03/12/2021 11:41

Lancome Teint Miracle. Perfect colour for my pale but warm skin.
I've tried No7, bare minerals, clarins and this is the best for my skin as it gets drier with age.

bestbeforedateexpired · 03/12/2021 17:36

Mid 50's here with drying skin. My go to Is Clinique Even Better Refresh. It is hydrating and has good coverage without being heavy. I apply with the Clinique brush which is more of a buffer type rather than flat. Feels like it is doing good things to my skin as well.

247SylviaPlath · 03/12/2021 20:44

No 7 hydra luminous…same skin type and gone through a lot of foundations to get to that one…It’s very very good

keepmoving · 03/12/2021 20:52

I'm in my 50's and have switched to tinted moisturiser plus concealer where I need extra. I think foundation is too heavy for an older skin

LordEmsworth · 03/12/2021 20:56

Chantecaille Future Skin. Genuinely my face but better...

Lndnmummy · 03/12/2021 20:58

I think I have tried every foundation going. Its clinique even better glow for me. With a buffing brush. Its glorious.

Sexnotgender · 03/12/2021 21:10

Yes!!

I’ve been on an eternal (bloody expensive) quest to replace Clinique gentle light foundation that they discontinued.

I’ve tried high end, drugstore and everything in between.

Clinique even better glow is the only one I’ve bought more than one bottle of. Love it.
