It's not for an evening do, I want to wear it to Christmas things in the daytime and attempt to look slightly offbeat with boots or something. Is it going to work?

skirt

I had to get something new as am busting out of all current clothes. Do you like it?

Um either you bought it or ot os too late, what sort of tops were you going to wear with it?

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 09:15

No it's mine, I've bought it.

I thought a slash neck top might look nice - I don't know, that is what I am asking you lot!

Tight V-neck black jumper, or roll neck? Not sure how much you're showing though.

Especially if for day time and if wearing with boots? I like wool and taffeta, it might just be me though.

Oh yes, me too hatrick. With a good shaped cardigan sitting just above the hip with 3/4 length sleeves and cool buttons, actually the cardigan should have some kind of trim on it and little pouch pockets, velvet trim perhaps, and then big boots.

In black.

But I think everything should be in black.

Wool. Taffeta. Velvet. [delirious]

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 09:23

Oh yes a jumper would be fab, wouldn't it? Thanks that is just the kind of outfit I wanted. I have got 2 pairs of boots, one dark brown a bit bikerish, and one smarter black suede.

you know those twinsets make me look even more like a barrel (I have large rib cage and no waist)

a polo neck or v neck would be good I think

100 i am not showing much but I look porky round the middle

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 09:27

so are we saying a black jumper? Do i have to wear the black boots then? Or can I do dark brown jumper with browm boots, or other coloured jumper with brown boots, or what

I have sea green top and shrug, is that too many colours?

oh noooo I can't wear cream

only dark colours on top hald

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 17/12/2007 09:29

Okay, so you need the right length v-neck to sit in the middle bit to reduce the porky bit around the middle. Then something underneath the v-neck perhaps? And a necklace.

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 09:30

the boots are quite dark brown, I do sometimes wear them with black things

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 17/12/2007 09:30

Black. Must be black v-neck surely? Then you'll look chic and not like a lady golfer.

Roll neck might be allowed.

Are boots black?

ahundredtimes · 17/12/2007 09:30

Oh brown?

Oh.

Maybe not then.

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 09:32

oh yes a necklace don't worry about that

I am not sure about 'the right length'

not sure at all

and not sure about v neck thinking about it

slash neck?

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 17/12/2007 09:32

What's that?

FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 09:33

I do HAVE black boots, but they are smart and not cool

I was liking 'taffeta with big buckled boots' thing

am kidding myself I am interesting young person

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 17/12/2007 09:33

erm it just has a tiny bit taken off the top so the neckline goes straight across

I don;t know if that is the right name for it really

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 17/12/2007 09:34

No I LIKE that too. But then to do taffeta skirt and big boots [heavenly] need something quite contained and chic on top no?

ggirlsbells · 17/12/2007 09:34

lovely skirt

brown boots fine with black

I think some clashing of colour would look funky

throw some orange or red in

ahundredtimes · 17/12/2007 09:35

Oh maybe. Depends on norkage I suppose? Especially given absence of waist?

Hmm. Am worried now about brown boots, green skirt and black top. Might need to think of another top. What colour is this slash neck top of which you speak?
