Kate looked amazing at the Bond premiere. Full on va va voom glamour. Everything was beautiful - hair, make up, dress. She definitely wins the 2021 (imaginary) royal fashion sweepstake!

I didn't say that the 1950s weren't stylish Maireas, but that style has come and gone. Back in the 1950s though, people did "dress for their age", and the clothes Kate wears make her look older than her years I think. I'd like her to showcase some more modern styles, and have a fresher, younger look. Not all plunging necklines and high mini skirts, but clothes that the rest of us would wear. I think she thinks she's "dressing like a future queen", but really, she's dressing like the Queen, Princess Anne and the Queen Mother, and not like a 40 (ish) year old in 2021.

I know what you mean, @Justkeeppedalling. I rarely find her choices stylish. She has the odd nice piece, and sometimes a good look, but it's rarely the case. She could look amazing - I think 1950s styles are often fabulous, and she could carry them off. However, she is role dressing, and all too often literal dressing as well.
She could look at some of the European royals eg Leti, not necessarily fall into the "fashion" trap that leaves some looking awkward and foolish.

Leti, and Meghan too, also Charlene. All around her age, but all just that bit more???? I don't know what the word is, "modern" keeps coming to mind.

I think Kate looks best in casual clothes.

Gosh, Kate's jumper from the Christmas concert costs £1350! I mean, obviously the royals spend a lot on their clothes but I didn't think it was particularly nice. I've seen nicer cashmere pieces for half that price.

Poor woman, what a horrible time she's had.

Not Royal style I know, but I see Joan Didion has died. She was so very stylish, in a low key way. One of those people - like Jackie Kennedy - who had such a strong sense of style. Her look at was very pared back.

Sorry to derail but it's pretty quiet on the RSB front.
