As last year, I suggest we use this as a general beauty advent calendar thread for everyone with beauty calendars that may not be covered by other threads or who prefers a general thread. I’m opening FM, Harrods and M&S this year, and will aim to post on both this and the M&S threads.

Please can no-one post any spoilers before 7am on the relevant day.

Just over a week to go. I’m really looking forward to it!

JL is a full size (30ml) Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair. This is a HG product for me which I’ve used for many years, and one of the reasons I bought this calendar.

ASOS is a Ciate liner. Looks like a brown eyeliner.

AprilLady · 19/12/2021 08:53

Day 19:

Wishful facial oil. Harrods. Travel rather than full size, but as facial oils last me forever, I’m okay with that. Not one I’ve tried before.

Dr Vranjes room spray F&M. A DoD for me, not something I use really.

Fragrance Society Hand cream M&S 2021. Looks okay, but not exciting.

Autograph blusher brush M&S 2018. Really like this, and will definitely use it.

So the point goes to 2018 today:

13:6 to M&S 2021 in total.

@AprilLady- I have a couple of Autograph brushes from a while back. They've lasted really well. Definitely the right point award.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 19/12/2021 09:10

Caramel fruit and nut mix in Degustabox today! DS has already nabbed it to put om his cereal and says it's delicious. Makes up for yesterday's soy sauce Xmas Grin

Elemis cleansing balm. I love this. I only discovered cleansing balms last year.

Handcream wrapped in tissue paper. A bit odd than one item only is wrapped. @AprilLady -was yours wrapped too or am I special?

Space NK is a small Jo loves shower gel.

I think this would be a nice calendar for someone who loves the super pricy luxury products and doesn’t mind not getting ml.

Jooox · 19/12/2021 11:18

*getting much ml

AprilLady · 19/12/2021 11:36

@OchonAgusOchonOh, yes, mine was wrapped in tissue paper. I thought it was going to be a bit more special than just a fairly inexpensive hand cream.

I’m using the Elemis balm cleanser at the moment. It’s easily my favourite Elemis product- enjoy!

@Stoic123, I think there was a double sided autograph eyeshadow brush included in a calendar a few years ago, that I still use today. I agree they are nice brushes.

Triple whammy of all things good today for me

JL - EL ANR 30 ml so I get a while to try it out

Boots No 7 - Melting cleanser - I've wanted to try this for a while and need a new balm type cleanser

Degusta - Yummy fruit and nut snack

@AprilLady @Stoic123 I agree that the Autograph brushes are lovely and soft. I got the the double ended eyeshadow brush and a blusher brush in previous AC. Ive possibly had more but they're the nicest and softest ones I own.

RazorstormUnicorn · 20/12/2021 07:59

In the last couple of days of Lumene I've had more moisturisers. I've now got a total of three different day ones 😁 I will work through them but the glow one from right back at the beginning is so good I just want to buy that!

Also got a full size mascara and full size setting spray. I don't currently use either product but I think I will give both a try.

festivefuschias · 20/12/2021 08:07

JL is a full size Dermalogica biolumin-c brightening vitamin c serum. One of the reasons I bought the calendar, as I love Dermalogica and this has great reviews.

ASOS is a full size 200ml Elemis soothing apricot toner.

AprilLady · 20/12/2021 08:27

Day 20:

Fresh overnight face mask. Harrods. Good size again, and something I’m keen to try.

Bramley calm balm. F&M. Sadly, another DoD for me. F&M hasn’t been quite as good this year as previously, I think.

Eyeko liquid eyeliner, brown. M&S 2021. Yes, it’s eyeliner. But brown to match the mascara from a few days ago. Good thinking by M&S.

Living Proof 5 in 1 hair treatment. M&S 2018. I think I’ve tried this before and it was okay, but not great.

Think it’s even points again today:

13.5: 6.5 to M&S 2021

A water sleeping mask from Laneige. A new one on me but looking forward to it. Decent size too.

Eye liner from M&S. All I can say about this is at least it's not black.

I really like the look of your face mask. I'm a sucker though for anything with teaXmas Grin
Jooox · 20/12/2021 10:22

Space nk is a Laura mercier primer 25ml

Orcadianrythyms · 20/12/2021 10:30

Agree that it's good the eyeliner is a match for the mascara and I wear brown so very happy with M&S.
Degustabox was a massive bag of curry crisps - one for the family! I'm funny about flavoured crisps. My popcorn was tiramisu so I'll have that Smile

JustLikeaJingleBell · 20/12/2021 13:12

JL - Lovely full size Dermalogica Vit C serum

Boots No 7 - a very nice lip and cheek tint - I wanted a cream cheek tint to try

Degusta - Curry flavour crisps

Very happy again with all of todays items. I'll try out the Vit C once we see the sun again.

I've arrived in Ireland for the Christmas, so no longer opening my Ritals and Museli advents. I will have a few happy days of opening when I get back.
I'm now on the M&S my sister got for me - had a very happy Friday evening opening Days 1-17 Xmas Grin
I liked the almond oil on Saturday - this is a favorite of mine so delighted with a travel sized bottle. Hand Creme on Sunday looked ok, but I dont use hand cremes much so might give this away. Eyeliner today is first item I know I wont use, so will be giving this away for sure.
I'm not missing my museli ... homebaked brown bread and marmalade with a cup of Lyons tea is more than making up for it!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 20/12/2021 20:02

Welcome home @FaoinDrualus.

I'll settle for a photo of the mammy's soda bread instead of the muesli Xmas Grin

Orcadianrythyms · 20/12/2021 20:13

We'll miss the muesli updates @FaoinDrualus but glad you made it home. I miss travelling so much.

AprilLady · 20/12/2021 20:26

Glad you got home @FaoinDrualus.

We were supposed to be going to France this week for Christmas and new year, and sadly had to cancel. I’m furiously trying to plan a Christmas dinner I hadn’t expected to need to cook, with no way of pre-ordering a turkey this late Sad. Been good to have distractions like advent calendar opening!

That's a shame. Hope you get sorted with the turkey. At least you'll be looking fab in Christmas day with all the beautifying.

Interested in what you think of the sleeping mask when you try it. This is something that has been on my list but I haven’t got around to trying it.
