I saw this posted by an incredulous Instagrammer and thought I'd share it here. Words fail me Shock

It’s not my taste or price range. It’s designed to be worn with knickers (thong) though.

But l do have backless jumpers (coat on when out) and l have thong back bodies (cotton gusset) so l don’t consider it as weird as some suggest.

As for dry clean only, that is a silly as the price. You would end up paying twice over when it’s overpriced anyway. I do have various things with “dry clean” labels that l machine wash at 30 degrees though.

Mummyoflittledragon · 04/11/2021 05:10

@spotcheck

Well, yeah. I see what everyone is saying about it being unhygienic, and scratchy.

On the bright side, there's a payment plan
🌻

😂😂

I also had one of those body things with the poppers at the crotch but it was lingerie. Never thought to hold it to one side in those days so going to the loo was laborious... not to mention precarious if I had had one too many. But this. Ewwww.

schmalex · 04/11/2021 06:37

@OnyxOryx my arse is a size 8, hth.

I'm astounded that so many people on a style and beauty board are so bemused by a bodysuit!

SirChenjins · 04/11/2021 06:49

A wool, backless bodysuit. It’s hardly the epitome of style.

Who cares when you're young? That's when fashion is fun.

Is not being astounded at a bodysuit. It's being astounded at a woollen, backless, thong, dry clean only bodysuit for £270!

None of those elements belong in a bodysuit! Maybe the thong bit but don't make it dry clean only!

schmalex · 04/11/2021 07:29

@malin52 but many of the replies do seem astounded at the concept of a bodysuit. It's all the 'oh remember these from the 80s' comments when they've been back in the shops for years, maybe a decade! Or 'ooh my back would get cold'. Kind of depressing for a supposed style board. I know we haven't been out much but...

Everyone is laughing (quite rightly) at a ridiculous item of clothing, in a lighthearted way.

You're the only one moaning!

SirChenjins · 04/11/2021 07:36

Fashion doesn’t equal style - hence the laughter on this thread.

Bavarois · 04/11/2021 08:08

@OnyxOryx Whoever said they'd wear underwear underneath, how big is your arse? Surely one thong up there is plenty?

Size 6-8... How big is yours that underwear disappears up it?

And @foxgoosefinch Why the jeffing hell don’t young women these days just say “no, thanks”?!? Young women aren't all running about in £260 tops tbf, so plenty of them have said no thanks.

This thread has taken a bit of a nasty turn. It's all very sneery and superior. I'm with @schmalex. If you saw a girl out wearing that under jeans or a skirt you wouldn't even know it was a bodysuit and would probably think she looked quite nice, so don't act like you all think it's disgusting.

blink1eight2 · 04/11/2021 08:11

A couple of people here have apparently had a sense of humour bypass

ILoveYouMoreTheEnd · 04/11/2021 08:14

I like it, not for me figure wise though. If you can afford to pay the price for it you wouldn't be bothered about sending your clothes to the laundry or dry cleaners either. I'd imagine it's possibly got a cotton gusset (I hate that word) if not it's going to be a flap fibre nest down there 🤣🤣

blink1eight2 · 04/11/2021 08:17

Sorry to disappoint but zero cotton. But you do get a hefty dose of polyester. Yummy.

What fresh Hell is this??
SirChenjins · 04/11/2021 08:23

Mmmm…poly viscose mix for £270 plus free vag bacteria. What fun!!!!!!!!

foxgoosefinch · 04/11/2021 08:29

“Soft, cozy feel” - 🤣 the cozy feel of having your arse hanging out of a polyester fake wool thong that can’t be washed. Mmmmm.

@Bavarois I was referring to thongs in general, not just this particular high priced one. Nasty uncomfortable synthetic yeast-infection-causing dirty things - why on god’s green earth young women have yet again bought into the idea that thongs are sexy? Every time I see one I just think of the bum bacteria and how fricking uncomfortable the poor girl must be with nylon cheese wire all up in her undercarriage. And don’t pretend they’re comfortable, we all know they aren’t 😆

chlorineirene · 04/11/2021 08:34

Ooh! All that wool around the fanjiti is making me feel itchy

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 04/11/2021 08:57

Would they sell it on?

After it’s been up the model’s bum?🤢I mean I’m sure she’s lovely and clean but would it be ‘dry cleaned’ before being sold?🤮

tiredisnottheword · 04/11/2021 09:34

I doubt they sell on any clothes that models have worn. It has made me wonder what happens to them though...

schmalex · 04/11/2021 09:59

@softgoosefinch
I do find thongs comfortable though - can't really feel it when I'm wearing one. I don't see what's so dirty about them if you have good hygiene and wear fresh underwear every day Confused

Lyricallie · 04/11/2021 10:03

But it's a bodysuit not underwear, you wear pants under them. It's just so it sits nicely when you're wearing it with jeans/trousers.

I actually like it, I like the colour and I have a few different bodies for nights out. I wouldn't spend the price on it but I don't think it's all that crazy as people are making it out. I think maybe people on here don't know how bodies are normally worn? E.g. with pants.

SirChenjins · 04/11/2021 10:08

Bodies are designed to be worn on their own if they have a cotton gusset - what else do you think it's there for? It doesn't mean you have to obviously, but that's why the cotton gusset is there.

This poly viscose beaut doesn't have a cotton gusset so yes, you'd probably want to wear knickers under it.

Blackmagicqueen · 04/11/2021 10:38

'There's just no need for a nice knitted jumper to involve yer fanny'

🤣 Perfectly sums whole matter up imo!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 04/11/2021 10:57

I’d wear my big mum pants under it. That will look very nice l think.

Ozanj · 04/11/2021 11:00

Xmas sale - that will be on for under £10. Free People constantly gets stuff wrong with womenswear.

A thong body isn’t meant to be worn with pants. That’s the point of them - they exist so you don’t have vpl in the latest high rise satin skirts and trousers that a lot of retailers have stocked.
