I was young fit & slim then, thank god! But at so many drinks past the hour, I just did a swimsuit, pull to the side wee!! No undoing poppers!!

I knit, so I get a lot of emails with patterns yarn etc...

I got a pattern for one of these and just 🙄🙄 I had no idea they were in shops!! (They can stay there too!)

I imagine cache knit is quite absorbent, like the Tena of knitwear if you are using it for a thong, wicks away moisture ?

But WHY would you have a woolly thing for warmth? And then a bare back which would be freezing? What is the point?

I’m 57, was a designer for ten years and design teacher for 26. The corner stone of design is aesthetics v function. That thing has no function at all except to cover bits of you. Too hot and too cold simultaneously and horrible itchy bit up the fanny. And I’m allergic to wool. I cannot imagine what it must feel like🤮

A thong is the M25 of bacterial highway .

Leaving aside the whole lower half of the garment (!!!!), I can actually see the point of a backless jumper. I am sitting here on a hot sofa, my back is too hot and my front can get draughty.
I have been known to put a fleece or cardi on back-to-front of an evening, as an alternative to getting a blanket to drape over me.

I do like to find the good in everything.

Most if not all bodysuits have different material almost like knickers for the private area.

This is just a knit version of a bodysuit.

Wear them with jeans, shorts, skirts. I tend to wear my mine to clubs and raves.

I really really like it...... it would look lovely with black skinny jeans and heeled ankle boots for a night out...... but then I'm a fan of anything backless because I have a really intricate full back tattoo

I had a few around 1990, including one in white itchy lace - ugh. At least it had poppers and a gusset and didn’t disappear up the crack 😂

I wouldn’t buy it for myself because that shop has sailed.

But it’s just a body - not sure what’s so shocking about it. Clearly you’d wear a thong underneath it, and with jeans / pants / a skirt, just like any other body.

Yes it’s backless. But you’d wear a jacket or coat when outside, so what does it matter?
