Hope nobody minds me starting the next thread but we'd hit 1000 posts!

F&M has arrived and something in it smells fantastic. I also got the note about the replacement product but I'm fairly sure that's the product that I'd seen advertised so it doesn't make any difference to me.

M&S is great value, as long as you'll use the stuff. I can always use an eyeliner so for me the two eyeliners more or less justified the £40 spend. Or that's how I justified it to myself anyway...

M&S just posted on their IG that their advent is being restocked in stores this week - sorry @Yogaandcocoa !

Anyone want a (potential) bargain there are 2 cult beauty advent calanders on eBay the auction finishes tonight and up to now bidding is at £85.89 for one and £3.20 for the other! Although I suspect the bidding may go a little bit higher than that

Yes I think that the eBay resellers this year have been thwarted by brands producing more calendars. Have noticed a number of cult beauty calendars selling below the retail price.

Harrods also. One just went for £175 with free post.

Can't say that it wasn't tempting, but honestly, I have so much in my stash at the moment that it would just be complete waste of money. Things would end up expiring before I got around to using them.

I reckon that a lot of people are the same which is why things are hanging around longer. Beauty box overload!

Wow, virtually unheard of for CB calendars to be selling at less than RRP at this time of year; looks like one went for £167 tonight. I do think there has been a massive increase in supply this year, and with Harrods and JL having upped their game and M&S back to doing its usual calendar, the rest are not quite as in demand as previously.

Bodes well for some good Black Friday discounts for those still hoping to pick up a bargain…

I did a bit of snooping on ebay and it's all the one seller that's had them up for sale - you find the recent sales price by attempting to 'sell one like this' then you can see recent sale prices.

Weren't they (this is cult beauty) limited to one per person?

Some sellers could be youtubers who used one for video but don't want to keep it? I noticed many don't swatch the makeup anymore.

I hope some that bulk buy in bulk to make profit fail to make profit this year.

Waiting on 3 deliveries, 2 of them advent/beauty items and it feels like Christmas season already - it's slow. Hope the advent arrives before December

And Liberty still in stock … the crackers look good although one has Margaret Dabbs in and an aromatherapy associates roller ball - definite drawers (or pulls) of misery imo.

I’ve got the pink Liberty beauty cracker with the roen gloss - the colour is gorgeous. I’ve not tried the mascara. I think they make a cute little gift too - I’ve just ordered another for a friend - I get free delivery on everything now with the beauty drop membership.

Same. I sent them an email yesterday but no reply. It's my jadvent so at least I'm in no rush with it.

Can't understand why they would ship from the UK. It has to be more complicated and more expensive for them.

I posted a while back about my CB calendar going missing. After many weeks/emails I managed to persuade CB that my calendar was indeed missing and they agreed to give me a refund.

In the meantime, while still waiting for CB decision/refund on the lost calendar, I took a leap of faith and ordered another CB calendar in the 2nd drop. It arrived on the day it said it would. And the refund for the 1st calendar appeared in my bank account a few days later.

I now have CB for DD1, GB for DD3 and JL and Rituals 3D for me (DD2 isn't getting a calendar from me this year due to general shittyness attitide to me and ungratefullness for the CB calendar I bought her last year).

What a big stress it has been but now I am very happy to say I got there in the end and have a happy ending. Very much looking forward to Dec 1.

@notangelinajolie ah so glad you managed to sort it with CB and it has all worked out in the end! You were brave going in for another CB but it's ended up working out well.

Mine arrived several weeks ago, but as a number of items were for stocking fillers, I opened it to start wrapping at the weekend. The false tan had leaked and ruined the packaging of 10 items. 'Latest in Beauty' offered to replace 2 of them! They're asking me to trek to the post office to return the parcel, so they can refund.

Very disenchanted! But anyone who is gifting this, might like to check there isn't the same problem with their box.

I have been reading that the M&S one is great value, and on the website it is showing as in stock at my local branch, but, but .... it is £300. Am I looking at the wrong thing?! Beauty advent calendar in a lovely blue tin.

It's £40 if you spend £30 on something non-food. So knickers and socks for the DCs' stockings.

@ajandjjmum, that does sound very disappointing.

So, two offers in my inbox this afternoon.

The first is this year’s CEW beauty edit: £170 and “worth” £800. I am pretty tempted by this. Excluding a single sheet mask and single eye mask it’s pretty much full sizes of useful stuff like the Elemis cleansing balm.

The second was from Massimo Dutti (!) who have got in on the act with An advent calendar - it’s mini hand creams, candles, perfumes etc. But it’s £150 for what is essentially a collection of own label minis. I’m not remotely tempted by this one

It's £40 with a £30 spend. Pajamas, sweater, socks/pants, thermals ... find something you'd have to buy anyway eventually and the price will drop in your basket.
