Is available on Thursday in store and online apparently.

Never tried this before so I'll reserve judgement but I'll admit I was a bit deflated at yet another hair product, and a brand we've already had. I know this is one of the more affordable calendars but it's not very exciting. Maybe it'll pick up. Hopefully a lipstick or perfume soon.

LizzieSiddal · 14/12/2021 10:15

My hair is also really thin and the elasticizer works wonders for it.

Thanks for the instructions LowLife.

latedecember1963 · 14/12/2021 10:19

Hope your treatment is going well, Jammallama and that you'll enjoy the stash of hair products you've accrued when you can benefit from them again.
I'm getting my highlights redone next Tuesday so hopefully this will come in useful. I'm surprised at the price too, Lowlifeinhighplaces.
Today's value is £10.40, bringing our total to £152.33.

LizzieSiddal · 14/12/2021 10:28

I too hope your treatment is going well Jammallama.

And thank you to latedecember for the totaliser!

H1Drangea · 14/12/2021 10:35

Too many hair products for me
I’m trying then , when I remember
I only use shampoo usually , then comb through and use the hairdryer to dry my hair

latedecember1963 · 14/12/2021 10:37

No worries! ⛄

Anjelika · 14/12/2021 11:41

I'm confused as to what today's is. You put it on washed, towel dried hair but what is it supposed to do? Is it just another product hair like the Percy & Reed one?

mynameiscalypso · 14/12/2021 11:44

Isn't today's more of a serum for getting rid of frizz / smoothing hair whereas the P&R one is a styling product? That's how I used it this morning!

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 14/12/2021 11:57

@HeySeamus

This is definitely no good for me. None of these types of serums do anything positive to my hair and I already have a different PK serum languishing in a drawer having only been used a few times. A leave in conditioner would be appreciated by me - although the PK Elasticizer doesn't seem to do anything to my hair either ConfusedConfused

For those of you with curly hair, I use Imbue curl energising hydration serum. It's bloody brilliant at doing what it says it does and is also curly girl friendly.

thank you! I'd never heard of this brand before but it looks fab - everything is CG friendly and available in Superdrug too - perfect!
Tinseltrauma · 14/12/2021 12:31

Not sure I like the smell of today's

I looked this up too and it looks great, but it brings me round to the fact that I can never decide what type my hair is, and therefore which products to use! I THINK it's wavy (2C?) (according to the type thing - people would describe it as curly) - does it matter much if I use something designed for 3A?

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 14/12/2021 13:07

@StiffyByng I wouldn't have thought it would make much different. You might find that a product designed for 3A might be a bit heavy for wavy hair I suppose, but it's all about finding what works for your hair.
I don't pay much attention to types, to be honest, I just know that my hair is porous, likes protein, doesn't mind coconut etc and base my product choices on that.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 14/12/2021 13:17

I don’t even use conditioner in my hair. It makes it lank if I do.

I’d worry putting something like this on it. It’s not frizzy so it doesn’t need it.

I really like the smell actually but not sure its going to do much for my very thin hair.
FreshFaceTime · 14/12/2021 16:20

I don't mind this one but wouldn't RP and will take me ages to use up as like a pp I'm also a lazy slattern and can't be arsed washing hair more often, so will save this for special occasions. Meh.

FreshFaceTime · 14/12/2021 16:21

I think this is a deliberate tactic. Impressive first few products. Boring middle few. Ending with impressive/memorable last products.

Lowlifeinhighplaces · 14/12/2021 16:37

FreshFace, I like your thinking, hope your right!

I think you are correct.
cloudtree · 14/12/2021 19:31

I think envying just likes different things. I like hair products

cloudtree · 14/12/2021 19:31

*everyone

marchduck · 14/12/2021 20:03

I'm trying to use the things as I open them, but I'm not going to try the Pk serum just yet, because I want to keep using the Wonder Balm for another few days.
I wash my wavy hair daily and leave to it dry naturally. I normally use Olaplex no. 6, but the Wonder Balm is having a much better effect on my hair. If it keeps the same over the next few days, I will definitely be buying this in the future

AnnieSnap · 14/12/2021 20:46

@Lowlifeinhighplaces “Apply a small amount through towel dried hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends and blow-dry in”

Not any use to me then as I have short hair. Also, after yesterday and the hand cream, it’s another ‘waste of time’ size 🤷‍♀️

The Primacy - Recency effect. Established by Psychologists many, many moons ago. People recall the first and last things and they are what provides a lasting impression. Very useful for teaching and presentations!

I love the Liquid Gold, have used it before and it does wonders for my skin.

However, I think I may be using way too much? How much does everyone use each time?

I put it on a dry cotton wool pad, but it feels like I have to use loads to get enough product on to be able to wipe over my face?

GucciGucciCoo · 14/12/2021 21:24

For me:
Alpha H Liquid Gold- bloody hell blown away by the stuff. Couldn't believe how good it makes my skin look. Product for life!

Stila eye pencil- great colour but now won't twist/wind up! What am I missing?
