Is available on Thursday in store and online apparently.

Oh no, Greebo, just what you need to add to the military operation of getting everyone to where they need to be on a Monday morning!
Today's lip protector is my box of doom so I'm glad it's appeared fairly early. My friend loves it so I'll post it with her Christmas card and that way it won't get wasted.
It's £8 at M and S so our total is now £52.76.

Chrysanthemum5 · 06/12/2021 09:13

Really pleased with todays this is the range DH uses as he's allergic to a lot of sunscreens

OchonAgusOchonOh · 06/12/2021 09:19

Meh is about as excited as I can get with today's offering. I don't tend to use these so dh will benefit.

TokyoSushi · 06/12/2021 09:33

Today's will be useful for our ski trip, IF we get to go!

Lowlifeinhighplaces · 06/12/2021 09:33

Can I join you all?

Just bought the box yesterday while I was in town as its been out of stock for about 2 weeks where I live.

So far so good for me, love the nail varnish colour (but dont rate the brand). Trying to use up all my foaming cleansers, Clarins is too expensive to throw away but may gift the remainders of my Japanese ones, then will try the EH balm.

The PK day 5 looking forward to trying as well, even if it does sound like a faff, but with things like this I tend to wrap my hair in cling film.

Todays offering will be used but as others have said not exactly 'luxury', but I did enjoy opening 5 together!

So far I thinks its good, but did stock up on Nuxe sets which were at 30% off yesterday a good buy, to be able to purchase the calendar.

tandt5 · 06/12/2021 09:34

I had a very quick look this morning and thought it was a lip balm. Is it something else?

MrsWidgerysLodger · 06/12/2021 09:43

So I can't get excited about a lipbalm but I do use them a lot so this is useful.

Tip for yesterdays... If you have long hair tie it in a ponytail and dip it in the sink/jug of water so just the ponytail is wet. Apply Elastisizer and wrap round into a bun. You can then get on with your day without it looking odd and rinse off later in shower.

Just catching up with this thread.

The L'Occitane moisturiser, if it's the same as the yellow one, I use for small dry patches on my face - I tend to get them where my glasses rub or between my eyebrows. So it lasts forever because it's just a tiny amount, and it's great for that.

I'd recommend a microfibre head wrap for hair products. They are easier to keep on than a towel, and you can potter around with one if you want to get stuff done. They're also good to help dry your hair quicker after a regular wash, or for any post-wash product. I do a weekly hair treatment in the bath so will give this one a go, although I'm not hugely excited by the Elasticizer brand.

I8toys · 06/12/2021 10:24

Boring but useful. As a pale ginge I get a burn on my hair parting when in the sun so useful to rub a little of this into my hairline. Not too much so greasy but just a light covering.

FreshFaceTime · 06/12/2021 10:38

Haven't tried the hair stuff before but planning to apply the same as I would Olaplex on a Saturday or Sunday. Wet hair, towel dry so not dripping, apply a good dollop and use grippy thing to pile hair on top of head while sitting in PJs/drinking tea. I would only do it on lazy days so it doesn't feel like a faff.

The lip balm seemed a bit dull when I first saw it but felt nice on and it'll definitely get used.

Hope the eyeliner is brown 🤞

Talisin · 06/12/2021 11:05

Falls into the boring but useful category as everyone has already said. I’m glad my other calendar had an excellent day though as this is not an exciting start to the week.

simpledeer · 06/12/2021 11:21

Bored with todays offering.

ScouseQueen · 06/12/2021 12:30

First day I've been disappointing. Already have a few of these knocking about. Not exactly a December item either with the emphasis on SPF.

Anjelika · 06/12/2021 12:35

Huge lip balm addict here so I'm very pleased with today's! Will try and keep it for my summer holiday with the high SPF in it.

Orcadianrythyms · 06/12/2021 13:17

First fail for me - it's not a good lip balm and the SPF?? Bit sad today, got vegan chocolate in degustabox so 2 fails for a Monday.

AnnieSnap · 06/12/2021 14:11

My reaction to today’s offering is Meh 🙄 I never use Lip Balm. I have a few (free gifts), intend to use them, but I never do.

bumbl · 06/12/2021 14:46

SPF should be worn daily regardless of weather etc so I will definitely be using this!

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 06/12/2021 14:50

As lips balms go, this is actually a very good one albeit not very luxurious! I think it would be great to use during winter as the winter sun can still be quite damaging. However I'm hopelessly optimistic that we'll get abroad in 2022 so I'm going to save it til then and really get the benefit of the spf Smile

Lipsandlashes · 06/12/2021 15:52

I'm a lip balm enthusiast, so quite happy with this but agree the packaging etc isn't very exciting. I liked the Skyn one from a few years ago - wintery and minty, so something like that might have been more inspiring.

LizzieSiddal · 06/12/2021 18:57

I too am a bit dissatisfied. I like my skin to have some sunshine as Vitamin D is so important, so would never use an SPF on my lips. (unless abroad of course, and who the heck knows when that will happen!)

Cheesymonster · 06/12/2021 19:06

I do like spf lip balms as the sun sometimes triggers a cold sore for me. Hoping it doesn’t leave a white cast though. But I feel today’s offering is boring and functional rather than a luxury treat. Hoping for something exciting tomorrow!

Skinfulnappies46 · 06/12/2021 19:12

Not really blown away by today’s offering. Have had a few of these from previous calendars/ beauty boxes.
Cont even regift it as it will look exactly like it has been .
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Helpstopthepain · 06/12/2021 19:52

I use Bert’s bees or palmers lip balms but I’ll keep this in the car.

Talisin · 07/12/2021 06:48

I don’t think todays thing is going to be for me but it looks like a full size product.

cloudtree · 07/12/2021 06:53

Ooo I like todays. Hair stuff is a winner for me because I feel guilty splurging on it myself.
