I think we have at least one tiara each, according to my spreadsheet. Some have parures. Any newbies welcome, log your choices.

I like this quote from the Sotheby’s article, clearly they are more of a bargain than I thought.
We see a variety among our tiara buyers, but primarily they are private individuals who are purchasing a tiara for the first time, usually for a wedding. In comparison to the overall cost of a wedding, a tiara or hair ornament does not need to be a wild extravagance and can be purchased for as little as £5,000 to £10,000. The other attraction is that these pieces can often be kept in the family and lent to other family members for their weddings.

I’ve asked for pearls as a present (hopefully soon) that’ll help my royal image surely?

CliffsofMohair · 24/10/2021 23:42

As little as £5-10,000.

I’m sure I have it down back of sofa.

🤔
@Eaumyword perhaps you too should put in a bid in, as I think it will go nicely with your Rituals advent calendar.
I can just see a lovely vision of you on December 1st floating down the stairs in pyjamas & that Tiara ready to open the first door.
(However as I have no idea of what you look like I'm imagining you as a mix of Princess Madeleine & Princess Grace & for some bizarre reason Tamzin Outhwaite has just popped into my head!)
Can't believe you remembered the advent calendar!♥️
In real life, my closest royal doppelganger is...
Sophie Winkleman! Chubbier and older, obvs.

Maireas · 25/10/2021 08:20

RanIa's tiara is unusual. I'm not sure why it's called a Spam boucheron ivy tiara.
Possibly ordered online by mistake.

Bit of a lurker but sharing these pics I took whilst Christmas shopping last year in case anything takes your fancy!

I've ordered all the gloves. Collect a pair from the vestibule of Maireas Towers.
It's half term and I have to go to Wickes. I shall be wearing Queen Alexandra's Kokoshnik tiara.

Looks like my kind of shop, @Applewitch!
Where is it?

This tiara is so unusual
Now that's a Christmas tiara if ever I saw one!
AppleWitch · 25/10/2021 08:37

@Maireas

Looks like my kind of shop, *@Applewitch*! Where is it?
It was in Piccadilly - opposite Fortnum & Mason!
TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/10/2021 08:40

I know that shop window even with my sunglasses on 😎

I think @AppleWitch must be a mind reader as I was going to mention (for the 3rd yr running) that one day we should have a trip out or in to Bentley & Skinner 👑 Smile

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/10/2021 09:28

@Eaumyword if I don't get round to getting the Rituals A/C myself then I will vicariously open it by lurking on the reveal thread that you may or may not start Grin
And I'm sure you don't look a day older than Sophie Lady Windsor & have a gorgeous figure to boot!

@Maireas I'm thinking Malory Towers now & Darrell getting up to high jinks whilst a newly delivered crate of Cornelia James' white satin gloves has gone walkabout.

Definitely a Christmas Tiara - The Boucheron Emerald Ivy Tiara.
Wonders if there is a Ruby one too so @justasking111 & @StCharlotte can have one each to wear on Christmas Day

@FelicityBeedle yes pearls definitely & I hope you have a nice surprise
@CliffsofMohair how's the sofa currency excavations coming along Wink

gluenotsoup · 25/10/2021 10:19

The Blackened Steel tiara is very gothic looking- anyone fancy it for Hallowe’en?

gluenotsoup · 25/10/2021 10:22

And the Rosenberg garnet kokoshnik is beautiful, just right for Christmas with off white stoles and full length evening wear 🙂

And my last find for the day- the blue enamel forget-me-not kokoshnik from the Duke of Westminster’s collection. There are no photos of the Duchess wearing it, but it’s so pretty. There is a photo of her here though, tiny waist, beautiful gown, very decadent looking.

@AppleWitch I've just clicked & realised you've got your Hallowe'en name on & now remember you going to London. Unless I have the wrong cider apple Smile

Funnily enough it was Glue posting the scary Tiara above that jogged my memory.
And it looks a bit sinister too so I'll pass on that

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/10/2021 10:36

The Rosenberg & the Blue Enamel tiaras are gorgeous.
The blue enamel is so vibrant & would be just perfect for Spring
as is making me think of bluebell woods, Easter & Victorian Spring balls

frugalkitty · 25/10/2021 10:42

Ooh the Rosenberg is beautiful!!! Good find!

Maireas · 25/10/2021 10:58

That Gothic tiara is quite stunning.
I love a Kokoshnik - those are both beautiful. The blue one is so unusual and pretty. I imagine the Duchess of Westminster wearing a different one down to dinner every night.

gluenotsoup · 25/10/2021 11:11

They are stunning, I’ll have to have a look through some of the royal evening wear to see what I fancy wearing it with🤷🏻‍♀️😂.
This is a nice one too, the Swedish cut steel, no gems. I think it would look amazing with something quite edgy and modern, maybe Charlene would suit this.

That's a nice one - although I'm quite taken with Princess Sofia's earrings in that picture.

gluenotsoup · 25/10/2021 11:20

Yes, me too!

Bearsbearsbears40 · 25/10/2021 13:21

I really love the blue enamel tiara

StCharlotte · 25/10/2021 13:35

Ooooh! All those from gluenotsoup would show up nicely on my blondeness. I'm now trying to think of a Halloween costume to go with the black one.

paradyning · 25/10/2021 15:13

Those earrings are incredible!
