Now Where Did I Put My Starter Tiara?

I think we have at least one tiara each, according to my spreadsheet. Some have parures. Any newbies welcome, log your choices.

Hello (again), I've missed the last few threads but was on the first few. This is my tiara choice. It isn't a royal one and was in a Sothebys auction. I've had this screenshot on my phone for a few years now. I do think a tiara needs darker hair to show it off which is a shame as I'm very blonde. Only reason I didn't buy it of course Grin

That is a lovely one Startup.

Another nice bandeau - photo attached - is Queen Elisabeth of Belgium's Cartier Bandeau.

Hands off the Fife para; it's kind, all mine!

There is a rather unusual Tiara coming up for auction at Christie's next month

It's the 'Ears of Wheat Tiara' that once belonged to Princess Pauline Bonaparte (Napoleons sister)

Has anyone claimed the Lotus Flower tiara yet?

StCharlotte · 24/10/2021 22:41

Thank you Maireas.

I think for actual starter tiaras, Japan is the go-to...

Great article from Christie's, Tracy - however, we ought to amend no2, (wearing only on special occasions) as it seems foolish not to wear our tiaras as much as possible, eg school run, bins, supermarket, zoom calls, medical appointments, changing tyres etc.

Maireas · 24/10/2021 23:00

Love the pic, StCharlotte - I think that's what our happy crew would look like lined up with our tiaras (or parures) on.

@justasking111 that's Queen Rania's Diamond Tiara but all I could find was this
www.tiara-mania.com/2014/09/diamond-tiara_14.html?m=1

Rania's Boucheron Tiara can join the starter collection too Smile

Anybody going to put a bid in for the Napoleonic "Ears of Wheat" tiara?

OP posts:
Maireas · 24/10/2021 23:03

Good starter for Rania. Nice drop earrings, too.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 24/10/2021 23:03

I don't think I've ever seen so many Japanese princesses in go.
Do you think they wheel them out on special occasions?

Eaumyword · 24/10/2021 23:04

Omg it's fabulous, very Roman goddess!

(Got the right post this time)

Maireas · 24/10/2021 23:06

I like that they all wear elbow length white gloves.
Should we make them a mandatory accessory for posting on this thread?

OP posts:
Maireas · 24/10/2021 23:08

Ok, I'll bid for it. I may have to call Panama and move some funds around.

OP posts:
TracyBeakerSoYeah · 24/10/2021 23:14

@Eaumyword perhaps you too should put in a bid in, as I think it will go nicely with your Rituals advent calendar.
I can just see a lovely vision of you on December 1st floating down the stairs in pyjamas & that Tiara ready to open the first door.
(However as I have no idea of what you look like I'm imagining you as a mix of Princess Madeleine & Princess Grace & for some bizarre reason Tamzin Outhwaite has just popped into my head!)

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 24/10/2021 23:17

Maireas whilst you are doing that can you also order about 300 pairs of white satin gloves, please (I think that should do us for now)
